You can make 2 Neapolitan pizza at the same time pretty easily as long as you stretch the dough first on both before putting sauce on them. Once the sauce hits them you only have a couple minutes before it needs to be cooking so you have to move fast at that point.

I have the Vermont Castings kamado grill. It's nowhere near the level of quality of many of the other kamado grills, and is insulated steel not ceramic, which has pros and cons, but one thing I love about it, is that it is square. It therefore offers SO much more cooking space than a round or oval cooker, and IMO, makes much more sense. Why are all the others round? Cheers!

Nice Kamado! I did not see what type of lid hinge it had, hopefully a good, hassle free one. Best Kamado I've ever had was the Shokunin Kamado from Kalamazoo.

G'day mate, You are one of my favourite reviewers. I just love the thoroughness of your experience when you advise on this BBQ or another BBQ. Thanks heaps. I especially love anything Kamado related.

Kamados are so great. Last time I finished using my offset, I put the remaining coals in my kamado to extinguish them. Couple of days later used them to grill a heap of chicken pieces and still got enough left in there for next time. So efficient.

@1:00 David, it looks like you will need to swap one of those ceramic firebox pieces! Great video! I’m doing drumsticks on my KJ Classic 2 tonight….of course with “Feathered Formula!”❤

Ceramic cookers are my favorite. I had a Vision grill and loved until a tree fell on it. I now have the granddaddy of them all, Big Joe 3.

That stand has Vision Grills written all over it. I really like some of the features you've pointed out, like the basket, the multi-piece fire box, and the ash tray, The hole for adding wood is great. I think they've had that for awhile.They've borrowed from Kamado Joe. It's a beautiful grill. Enjoy it!

What a waste of time on the video, he do reviews still patronize the brands to no look bad instead of call in out the winners in each category, wood, gas , both ,space, time, finish product , what is important on the test .

I've had my Chimp for almost 5 years now. I have had to replace the auger and fan motors this last year (after ALOT of use). I absolutely love this grill...as a matter of fact, they had a great sale last week and I bought a replacement, just incase. I think I paid 465. Anyway, I highly recommend this grill for a family of 4 or less. Great vid.

I went with Breeo X24. Decision was easy. It is a one time purchase. Thing is a tank and will last forever. I have the stainless steel lid. Other than that, I don’t ever cover it. Cleaning out the ash is part of the ritual and I don’t mind it. I do it every other fire. You can simply move the ash away from the vents for the next fire and it performs the same. Also, I’ll be buying the stainless ring soon so I can drop the unit into a brick surround. I do agree that Solo has better accessories. I own the cooking rods and will eventually buy the poker and grabber for moving the wood.

I’m frustrated trying to find the Camp Chef close to where I live. There isn’t a retailer that has the woodwind pro within 3 Hrs from me. I love all the features that I see on the woodwind, yet it would be incredibly nice to actually see one prior to dropping the Benjamin’s on it.

20:20 Just wondering, Why not putting the meat in the middle so you have heat on both sides?
@TheBarbecueLab
@TheBarbecueLab 6 күн бұрын
You certainly could. My thought process was that I had a pork butt that was pretty sizable, and I didn’t want to cook it too quickly to hopefully get some smoke flavor in it using the pellet tube. Heat from both sides would just speed up the cook, and I was having enough of a time trying to get a consistent temperature in the grill with the low temperature outside and the wind. I considered using the middle, but those are the reasons why I didn’t.

Great video. Once thing you didn't show and I would have like to have seen is how was the ckn actually cooked? Was the temp the probe showed the actual temp of the meat. Some of these can be off by a lot and that's a waste if your trying to get a large roast MR

Depends on how thick the cut of meat is. A normal size steak, reverse sear is a waste of time. A thick tomahawk is a perfect specimen for the reverse sear method.
