Have you been able to slow cook, such as when making ribs, on this grill? Also, when you say perfect cooking temperature, what that be? Thank you for the solid review. Very well done

Because of the high airflow design by nature, I personally think it’s best suited to burgers, chicken, steak, etc. I haven’t tried to smoke with mine, but I also have a Traeger I use on that end of the spectrum. Glad you enjoyed the review!

You could set a smaller fire to have a lower smoking temp. Or do the snake method for smoking. I don't have one but seems like that would work. Or does it not work that way?

I like to sous vide my brined chicken, when it's done, put on ice, toss it in the freezer. The day of the event party gathering, i set the smoker up for 200 °F, then smoke the chicken for two hours with apple or cherry wood. I then finish it in a high indirect heat charcoal grill to crisp it up and do any final basting. This looks like a likely grill to do burgers and could also do indirect high heat finishing for smoked chicken ECT. I wish it had different legs to bring it up higher. It's pricy but being stainless it is going to last the long haul. I can't find it on their website.

Breeo is the best in my humble opinion. Not just because it’s made in the USA. Mainly because of the longevity of it and it’s versatility with cooking.

@@AtHomeInTheFuture not sure what solo stove does better based on the video here. I have used a Weber grill. It can light a contained fire and cook just like the solo stove, has a temp gauge and grill grade that folds up for addition of coals (if you buy the option with it) also a tie, assembles easily - tie. Weber has wheels and is easy to move around like a stroller. And I’m not even sure if smokeless is good in this case because Smokey flavor is the reason why one would use a charcoal grill over a gas grill. Oh and the lid rest hook is the same. The ash catcher in Weber is much simpler, you just take out the tray and dump and clip it back on to the bottom. What are the advantages of solo stove over Weber? None of the attributes explained in the video from what I could tell.

Good feedback. I was aiming for features and use case of this grill vs the others I’ve owned. It has a very specific lane I think: super easy to use, maintain, and get to the perfect grilling temp (and little else).

@AtHomeInTheFuture3 жыл бұрын
If you’re okay cooking at like 1000 degrees maybe, haha. In all seriousness, check out my solo stove vs Breeo comparison. Breeo has a grill attachment which I found really hard to cook well on. The food was either cold from being too far away or completely scorched from being too close. You can cook on them, but it’s definitely not great, at least in my experience.
