okay so this video very randomly came up on my suggested so gave it a listen as i havent heard this song since i was a kid.. i dont know anyones name but the black haired dude whos doing what i assume is lead vocals... is he some sort of mutant who has replaced his innards with vocal chords? how the hell does he go from grumbling demon to that mad high pitch men can only usually do when kicked in the nards? absolutely incredible!

The black haired mutant is Marwan Ayman, a 20 year old (19 when this video was made) Egyptian bass singer. He also arranged this song. The original plan was for the whole group to meet in the Czech Republic but Marwan's visa was refused so his bit was filmed in the Sahara desert. Marwan also has a solo channel that is well worth exploring.

Something I'm honestly impressed about (besides all of your ridiculous vocal ranges and talents) is that I can hear parts of every official version of Arabian Nights that Disney has released in this cover. I'd consider myself a great Disney fanatic and ESPECIALLY a major Disney Aladdin fanatic so, along with hearing your own original lyrics sprinkled throughout, I was incredibly overjoyed to hear more than just the original animated version (as I could recognize lyrics used in the Arabian Nights used in Return of Jafar, the ending of the Arabian Nights used in Aladdin and the King of Thieves, and even the musical part of the melody cut from the first film's version that you can hear in Howard Ashman's original renditions as well as the Broadway version found at 2:21). I fucking LOVE when people go above and beyond create the best out of everything out there! Fantastic research, fantastic editing, fantastic visuals, fantastic singing, and fantastic dedication to making this cover stand out among the rest while also improving the original in every way!!

I knew about the bit from the end of the King of Thieves, couldn't remember if Return of Jafar had other lyrics at all, thought I remembered there being somewhat different lyrics in the demo versions, and didn't know if the Broadway version had other lyrics.

I once before criticized the cleanliness of so many bass singers at the same time and that the high notes where not as polished as Geoff's ones for example. I now completely swallow up those words.
