Also have you noticed how the dragons claim those closest in relation to their previous owners - Seasmoke choose his previous owners Leynor Valeryon's half brother Alyn of Hull. Vermithor choose Hugh who's mother seems to have been Jacarys and Daemons sister - making Hugh a cousin of Vermithor's previous owner and the same for Ulf - he was a also a cousin of Silverwings previous owner

Oscar's got some massive balls. MASSIVE BALLS. Yes, I think Rhaena is claiming Sheepstealer. Since it doesn't appear Nettles will be around, and they've spent so much time with Rhaena failing to get a dragon, I'd bet a lot that Rhaena takes Nettles' place in the story.

I just wonder what they will do with Daemon if Nettles is indeed out of the picture. I know a lot of people like Nettles, but I think the major appeal is that she's a POC and she's so close with Daemon...but both of those things can remain true right now with Rhaena taking her place! I wish they had done some things a bit different when it came to the potential dragon riders and the people of Dragonstone in general. The show made it seem like all the Targaryen bastards had silver hair (apart from Addam) and that no one else had it. I think Jace realised this and it ended up with him somewhat regretting his suggestion as it could make it clear that he was not Laenor’s son. I think it would have been better if they had a few scenes showing how they found the people with Targaryen bloodlines and maybe had them vary in hair colour more.

Her horns are positioned in a more pronounced V, I think. I thought, AT FIRST, that I saw Rhaenyra smiling as Vhagar retreated but, upon my second viewing, I realized that she was looking at the man who killed her son, while the means to avenge that son was at hand; Aemond was on his way to his own execution, until he turned around. My 2 cents.

Succinct review. Personally I enjoyed this ep, alot of progress was made and the pacing was quick without skipping stuff. I liked Jaces push back to R, hes clearly acknowledging stuff we already know and what R has been trying to avoid so he's like a mirror to her in a way. Loved Vermathors entry, the detailing was so meticulously done. Oscar tully can have our allegiance cuz mannn, he showed up and cleaned house! 😅 I'd love to see him more on the show. Aegons situation is such a callback to Viserys, Aegon looks like him too. That last shot with the dragons 😍

Why thank you my good man. Absolutely - the pacing was pretty good, IMO. Again a little slower to start, but they had a LOT to cover, so some boring stuff was quickly peppered in thankfully. I like that Jace pushes back, too. He doesn't just listen to mama (lot of that going around in Westeros these days ::cough:: Aemond) Vermithor's entry is so badass. His look, his sound. Just perfect. Oscar Tully was amazing...I mean DUDE the massive cajones on that kid. Put DAEMON IN A CORNER. Aegon's situation is definitely a mirror with Viserys by the end, for sure. I guess the good news is that Aegon II can get better, he's just being pushed to the limit.

I would like a more theatrical reaction from Aemond where he jumps out the window of the red Keep lands on a horse dashes out the gates blows a horn and gets on Vhagar. If anything his reaction time at the end shows that they need someone always on dragon defense in case of an attack. Only having one Dragon rider against 5+ is not a good position to be in.

I know last time I expressed my disappointment for this season (replied to your response as well for context in case you haven’t seen 🙂), however this was the best episode thus far. Just wish they didn’t wait all the way until the end lol. Daemon holding his own actions accountable to rally the river lands with minimal hallucinations lol, all business on the black end with no silly love quarrels, and Aemond recognizing the threat at dragonstone was actually kind of perfect. Notable mention: Typically in GOT history episode prior to finale is something insane, was super surprised this one was more tame. If we don’t get a serious event next episode I think the writers w are going to regret the missed opportunity to redeem the lackluster season thus far. Lastly, where are the graybeards?! 🤣

Other than Laenor and Laena, at this point there are no Velaryons by blood who rides dragons. Addam is not a Velaryon, yet. Jace and Luke are Velaryon by name, but not by blood. The show could have left it at old valyrian blood was enough to bond with dragon, but the writers had to ruin the ambiguity by having Corlys announce his confusion on screen. This plot line is swiss cheese

@TheBattProductions I try to evaluate the actions/reactions of a character through their own perspective. You are correct in the strength of his claim objectively, but Jacaerys was not acting without reason. The show portrays the sowing as basically his idea, but the execution of it is putting him in a less advantageous position than when he started. What you didn't touch on in the video is how the dragons are supposed to be gods, thus the dragon keepers are by extension some sort of priests. The sowing further desecrated the status of dragons from gods to war horses. The blacks gained more riders but at the cost of removing them from the deity status. The illusion of god-like targaryens controlling gods(dragons) used to be everything, now it's practically nothing. Jace is starting to see that. Even if they win the civil war, he'll just be a human with a dragon, not a targaryen god with a dragon

And I think you're right about public perception of dragons after the war, but hey what else are the Blacks to do? Fight with just Syrax and Vermax? he's gotta get over it if he wants to win. Rulers rule well without dragons - so if that's his reasoning, he *really* needs to get his priorities straight.

No this is what happened. In order for Oscar to gain the respect he needed to get the men Daemon wanted he had to appear tough in front of the rest of the river folks. They why he called him King consort in private but Prince in front of everyone else. And Daemon knows this, even though he doesn't like it. But he needs an army and the dumb stuff hasn't been working. And the Blackwoods were just following what Daemon told them to do.
