Pretty sure the idea behind book build is to get the second skill rotation off asap while phase rush is still active. If one rotation does 55% enemies hp, building more damage to make that 70% still means you need 2 rotations, whereas cdr means you actually get to kill them faster

Yeah, i mean he got sion passive nerfed against turrets because he popularised it. He was probably also part of the reason why Prowlers was nerfed, even though that had many other factors such as GP or Kayn abusing it. But yeah for sure. I played a lot of dota, and since its a stat based game (INT+STR+AGI) across the years, a lot of high elo and pro players developed builds where you would spam several of the same early game item because their ability to generate gold early leads to high impact action with cheap stat stacking. This is a lot harder in LOL due to "unique passives" but i guess that doesn't apply to codex? so for 2500 he has 30 haste breaking the general rule that "components are bad" in league.

Imo, if you're going chapter into triple Fiendish, you might as well go for tear into nightharvester. Way more gold effecient and straight up cheaper. It gives more AH once you hit 2 items anyway

'gold efficiancy' doesn't really tell the whole story, it's about what stats exactly you get. 1. AP - of course you like and need ap 2. CDR - getting in 2 skill rotations in one skirmish at that level is priceless 3. lategame - those books can still be built into lategame items what other build accomplishes these criteria at 10-13 minutes into the game?

You didn't evaluate correctly the gold efficiency on the items, if you take the bonus percentage on all the items to make the comparison, you have 14%x3=42% for the three codex build, and only 27% on the Everfrost that also is 100 gold more expensive.
