No, but I will say that you will probably lose more fish to circle hooks on a spoon. The first few hard hits I got that day were on a modified spoon with bkk circle hooks. I got 3 hard hits and lost them all right away.

The "Jack's" are one of the most thrilling fish to catch b/c of their strong swimming/fighting ability. But their meat isn't that great. Some people can make any fish taste good but you gotta bleed this one right away & the blood line meat is extra gamey. It's also an oily rough flesh but lots of folks know how to cook them good just like I know Cajun's who like "Gar Balls" & other aquatic stuff that is unusual to me.... lol, but they are great fun to catch >> peace & GB
