Sweet trip,Colin! That EG Civic with the No Good Racing replica livery is cool. The car scene in Thailand is huge just like in almost every major city in Asia. I believe they even drag race mini-trucks.

Hi both hope your having fun. I lived in Singapore in the late 50s with my siblings and parents being a forces brat! to which a sister and brother were born! We travelled around Asia in that time one of the memories I still have is being in Thailand at a place called tiger gardens. Do they have chi- chats in thailand like they had in Singapore?. I always had this memory burnt on mind seeing a premantis in a bush by a bush by the front door of are house. My mother had photo's of my sibling and I in a two tone hillman minx. I do remember the monsoon season where the rain hit the ground and it looked like small explosions. Please be careful going around where you are and have fun. I loved this video it brought back memories of my childhood.

A lot of those diesel pickups they take the diesel lumps out and drop a 1JZ motor on them but still badge them as diesels. Wouldn’t be surprised if that was one with the stance on those wheels

Toyota manufacture cars in Thailand for export, so any unique Toyota you find might just be a Thai original. The Mercedes you found, and the car with the Plymouth badges are most likely assembled in Australia, and, look for Australian cars, Kingsoods, Tranas, Ford Falcons Chrysler Valliants and others. There should be thousands of them as they were all exported there in from the 1960's through to the early 90's

The problem in Thailand with old cars, is, if they don't have a log book they can't be registered, and it is nearly impossible to get a replacement book, I live in Thailand , and have seen so many old vehicles, which l could have bought, but without a log book, ok for yard art, but that's all.

I've lived in Thailand for over 30 years now, most boring place for cars in the world? (tax reasons) The cars in lots have been involved in accidents, the owners have no insurance so disappear and the vehicle rots away, second hand car values are high, silly high, if they were sale-able they wouldn't be sat rotting....
@jep191211 күн бұрын
