I'm still waiting to get a link from Ed. Thanks, Bill. Brian is a High School teacher, and he bought a couple of lazer cutters for his classroom with a nice grant. We paid him for his time, to which he said he would put the money back into the classroom.

3:45 that was the single stupidest part of this video. Not only was there no riving knife but there was nothing that a planer couldn’t have handled with a few extra passes.

we have streamlined the process since making this video. this was a first attempt just to see if we could make them.

Wouldn't a 3d Printed one in black plastic have looked better? Or at least the wood painted black and lacquered?

we looked into 3d printing but it was waaaaay too expensive. besides, if you just want a black faceplate, i have a couple of spares! :D
