The dichotomy of life. Wildlife tweaks our curiosity; invests in our well-being by providing awe & wonderment moments and then... concern and sadness as they disappear from your life. Sometimes you know because you've witnessed it, but most times our shared experiences unfold like a novel but without the final chapter.

Since I got into bear management, I always referred my time as chapters in a book. Whether is was bear going from being a cub to producing a cub, or month to month in a bear season.......each moment or each bear had it's own chapters, and the book was always unfinished, cause the new chapter was just starting.

He was a beauty! It's easy to see why you grew fond of him (and bears in general).

Yeah he was such a cool bear to deal with, not an ounce of aggression and was so easy to manage.

Such a handsome fellow. ❤🐻

He was a stunning bear, was hoping to see his offspring with the pretty lady he frequently paired up with! I know of one litter, he was the dad for sure.

He sure did have a blonde head, easy to see why he was a favorite ❤

pretty distinct look....but his personality was that of a very chill bear. If I raised my voice he was like a scolded dog, it was like his feelings were hurt, lol

I wish you were able to confirm 100% so sad. I remember a long while ago that you named him blondeface. I get so attached to animals even if I was in your line of work and knew how things work and sometimes what happens cannot be helped. But not knowing for sure would weigh on my mind.

He was a good bear, and they shot him ! No wonder bears go bad and hunt down people.
@repetemyname8426 ай бұрын
Yeah, um, thats not how it works. Bears do not "go bad", bears are a natural born predator, an apex predator, and humans are definitely on the menu.

@@repetemyname842 Most of the time they are eating vegetation, berries, dandelions etc. Did you read the info at the top? Um, they are omnivores, like most people.

A bear's aggression is from defense, that is responsible for most mauling deaths. In these cases, the bear does not....I repeat does not feed on the humans in most cases. Once the threat is nutralized the bear leaves. They attack like they would another bear, humans have very little toleration to this type of trauma and usually succumb to their injuries. With an average of 5 deaths per year from grizzlies in all of North America, these things are not out hunting humans, rather hunting things on all four.

@@TheBearGuyCanada I was being a bit facetious, Mr Bear Guy. 164 seemed such a nice friendly bear. That stat about fatal bear attacks was interesting. So thanks for setting the record straight. I live in Australia, and the only bears we have here eat eucalyptus leaves. All the best !

Regarding the opening scene: That guy clear qualified as "authorized personnel." He even carried his company batch displaying his working permit number (164). 🐻✋🛂
