5:20 George was ALWAYS given the least distinctive, hardest to imagine, middle of the mess-most melodic line. And he NAILECD it every time.

No wonder this album blew apart Brian Wilson mind because he would understand the complexity of harmony singing going on here
@powlobo.m.b.2 жыл бұрын
Only me that noticed that Galeazzo also does each part trying to emulate the vocal texture of each singing Beatle (J, P & G here)? Amazing!
@GuitarUniverse20132 жыл бұрын
At 1:38 you mention the invalivements on the vocal. That’s actually very reminiscent of the way classical Indian musicians sing. So one might think that George’s interaction with Ravi Shankar might have also affected the Beatles in more hidden ways, like these vocals, as opposed to pulling out the old sitar and being way upfront about it. This Italian gentleman is one of the best educators about Beatles music on KZbin and I encourage everyone to support this channel. He really knows his stuff

When you break it down and analyze all the parts, it's really remarkable the complexity and creativity that went into the Beatles songs. I'm 74 and had a crummy band back in the mid-60s. We played (quite badly) some of their music. I had no clue in 1964-65 how many light-years I was behind musically. Your channel and listening to Past Masters and studio outtakes are a revelation.

The stuff you do on the Beatles is great. My 16-year-old daughters is loving the Beatles and this is one of her favorite songs. In some ways I'm a tone death baritone singer but I do know how to sing. My daughter has a natural god-given gift and ear and here's things better than I do. This video will teach her a whole lot that I could never do for her. I have probably nailed the high part in bridge over troubled water four times in my life, my daughter hits it every time perfectly. What's funny to me is she has the most wonderful voice in the high A to C.... And constantly struggles to try to hit anything lower than that. She actually forces herself out of tune. I tell her all the time to just sing in her natural voice and stay in the key and that's okay it's called Harmony... God bless her heart sometimes she just really wants to hit those low notes.

Very nice work as usual. Thanks for taking the time to do the breakdown. I’ve always really liked the “lovely Rita, lovely Rita maid” harmonies before the break. Nice to hear how they were out together. Far more involved than it sounded to me but, then, that’s generally the way with the Beatles. It sometimes takes a lot of time and talent to make something sound easy! 😀

Beautiful video for one of my favourite Beatles songs that always reminds me of my mom because she danced with me as a child to this song! I will never forget my first time hearing Sgt Peppers.. I was living in Vegas and was maybe 8 or 9. I walked in the living room and my older brother had it on the stereo..I looked at the album cover and the feeling of them being royalty..and it was amazing..I don't think I have ever dabbled with my guitar on any of these songs.. many beatles..but not this album..the best album ever made in my opinion..

Oh Galeazzo! You really have taken things to another level with your recent videos! So professional! This sounds great! And I agree with your views on double tracking. I prefer to record the part twice than use ADT. Please keep up your great work!
@craigeverhart47552 жыл бұрын
So the ADT technique was invented as a reaction to John’s hating to have to double-track his lead vocals. So they did what they called “flanging” likely because the name sounded cool.

The best presentation I've heard dissecting vocal harmonies. I have several bootleg recordings of isolated vocal parts on some bootleg CD's released on Ultra Rare Tracks from the 1990's, and a few others that were released afterward. Most of those were out takes and variations. I'm curious to know if you used a digital process of extracting the parts individually from the original recordings or by ear. To hear these nuances and inflections is awesome. Grazie mille.
