For those looking to get into the Xmems driver at a lower price point; Noble audio has there XM-1 for around 700USD and the TWS Falcon Triumph in US or the Falcon Max in Japan. The Triumph are amazing for a TWS. The XM-1 is cable is beefy and USB-C terminated. Tee energizer is contained in the cable so it makes it highly portable and phone drives it fine. I found the XMems driver to be extremely fast and the bass very accurate with a lot of punch. Thanks for review of this one, a new company to me. Happy New Year!

I had a chance to try their prototype for a smaller Energizer, and it’s promising that they’ve managed to scale it down to almost one-third of the current Energizer’s width while keeping the same length. Hopefully, they can release it soon and, as you mentioned, offer an upgrade pricing option for those who own the current model. Another cool thing: they’re experimenting with a Bluetooth-enabled Energizer, which can function as both a receiver and a normal Energizer. The Bluetooth automatically turns off when you plug in the interconnect cable. It’s truly convenient, and it’s definitely one of the prototypes I’m excited about!

Hmm…set looks wild. Interesting tech and design. Fascinating how fast Chi-fi moves - even though we are still largely talking incremental improvements and often just variations in flavour. Given it is a hobby of tastes, that is a good thing. At this price it better really good. Let’s hope this tech gets offered at accessible prices sometime soon.

I love to see more innovation on the driver side of audio gear! If this is only the first or second generation of MEMs, I can’t wait to see what it turns into in the future. I think miniaturization is going to be the main area of improvement, which will of course take time. But I’m here for it!

This is the sorta IEM tech I love seeing in multi thousand IEM sets. Sets the precedent for future IEM's and perhaps may trickle it's way down to more affordable sets. This white marble look is real nice too. Didn't think it'd work till I opened this vid. This setup is also pretty interesting. 3 full range drivers and 1 dedicated for sub-bass. Graphs pretty nicely, so they're definitely onto something

A while back, I listened to a podcast series (No Dogs in Space) about the Beastie Boys. Gotta say, hearing the history and influences really heightened my appreciation. Better gear and hearing all the nuances increases my appreciation too, but just wanted to put out there the idea of diving into the history and background of the music over buying more gear.

I work with a few different MEMS technologies, once the volume of the devices using MEMS increases, the price should pretty dramatically decrease, so glad you didn't shamelessly hype it. I imagine the price will crash to well below half, if not below $500 within 2-5 years.

As i've said: I wonder how long(or short) it'll take for Chi-Fi to bring MEMS drivers down to below mid-tier price points. If there's one thing i'll be keeping an eye on this 2025, it'll be this. All it takes is one brand to make that "crazy" move. Next thing you know, we'll be getting generally affordable MEMS driver IEMS, left and right. And just like that, all of a sudden, we'll be looking at a full blown "MEMS Driver Wars 1".
@SGyru3 күн бұрын
That sounds so crazy to me that it needs an "energizer" constantly running. I'm planning to buy a budget planar for my first planar eventually to try since I haven't even tried a planar yet. I'm waiting patiently though for that and to buy a Hype 4 since I will be getting that regardless as my next big purchase coming from being an Aful Explorer lover. Excited for new tech and for the new year!
