I saw Gowan play at a small venue in Edmonton in 1985. Later he had played all his music, then he was playing other famous piano players music, all the people in the venue were then standing on the floor around his piano area like one big ovation. It was an incredible night. AND Gowan is Canadian !! ♥️🇨🇦

I only found out about Gowan from Steven Crowder. I wonder why this wasnt played more often in the USA compared to Bryan Adams. He should be a much bigger star in the US than him. I know he's a part of Styx and he is extremely talented.

I don’t mind Bryan Adams but there is a lot better Canadian musicians out there. Gowan, Rush, Platinum Blonde, BTO are all better IMO and that’s just from the top of my head without really thinking hard.

@@oilersridersbluejays Really, basically any band that had any measure of success without being sappy arena rock/balladry. Depends on what you like. For fans of more classic rock there's The Guess Who and anything involving Robbie Robertson. Bruce Cockburn, Tom Cochrane, Kim Mitchell, The Tragically Hip, The Watchmen, Big Wreck/Thornley, I Mother Earth... I'm sure you could find more by digging some. I'm a metalhead myself so I'd add Strapping Young Lad and Cruentis to the list.
