this show helped me come in terms with my sexuality, and come out to a few friends and my mom. im forever gratefull for this cast, and alice (the creator) for portraying such a beautifull story, and one that can give young queer people a sense of hope when it comes to love. i love this with all my heart

After my second rewatch of season 2, I really wanted to see others react to it as a distraction and because I'm curious what others think and I came across your channel and on a very surface level I just really love your voice! Oh, and it's really funny how Charlie doesn't like Marvel films while Joe's been cast in the Wandavision spinoff Agatha Coven of Chaos (which will be a series for the girls, gays and theys lol, I already love it). It's supposed to come out next year, hopefully you'll do a reaction, too.

I find it interesting when reactors think Ben dating Imogen would be okay, and that Nick doesn’t need to tell her what happened or to at least try to stop her from dating him. I think Imogen (and anyone in that situation) deserves to know that she’s going out with someone who has been violent/sexually assaulted a previous partner. That’s Girl Code 101: if a girl, especially your friend, is going out with someone you know is dangerous, you should at least inform them for their safety. It’s Girl Code, but it should be People Code. In this situation it’s complicated because Ben isn’t out, and Charlie clearly doesn’t want to tell people. But Nick should have told her that the assault happened, even if he kept the details out of it. I think what happened was realistic, and I don’t blame Nick for how he handled it - it’s just that ideally he would have told her. How she chose to handle that information would be up to her, but at least then it would actually be up to her to make that judgment call on whether she thought Ben could potentially hurt her. Because he easily could have, and Nick would have no way of knowing if he did.

@@user-qs9zm2wo1t Yep, I know some people have thought the same but most unfortunately put the blame the same as his mother on the relationship. He is spiraling and it may be a little more apparent in the novels, not sure. As an adult (41) with ADHD and focus issues myself, I am definitely not saying to the screen "well maybe if you had done your coursework..."bs. But from a teenager perspective with various mental health issues plus using your boyfriend as your comfort and safe space, it makes perfect sense that this important task does not get that classification in your teenage brain. Because I knew loads of teens that had their shit together, while I severely struggled despite being fairly intelligent.

This is good, but the sound levels are incredibly unequal: your voiceover is several times louder than the show dialog, so it's hard to find the 'right' volume. Can you adjust for the next one?

Alot of reactors lower the show volume. I believe it's to help avoid the sound, specifically music playing, from triggering copyright.

A lot of Marvel characters are lgbtq+ but sadly the MCU avoids representation in order to show in China and other other markets, as well as prioritizing not upsetting the prejudice and getting boycotted. Its the same reason they pushed the idea that "magic" was just science beyond our understanding with early Thor and avoided anything explicitly magical in the MCU for so long. They figured keeping it out would let them remain scifi rather than fantasy and upsetting certain Christians.
