In thinking about our salvation history I sometimes feel we in 2024 are going through our own Exile. We are seeing churches being closed, martyrs for the faith, killing of babies in the womb, questions about Bishops and even the Pope. We need a return to the Eucharist as Jeff mentioned and maybe we will be able to Return to the truth .

Love the checkpoints discussion by Jeff Cavins and Fr. Mike. Great insights! *_ Excellent explanation of the importance of the sacraments, scripture, and the Church. *_ Malachi being the last prophet of the Old Testament shares the last word as the curse which shows the severity of the exile. Malachi Ch2 and 3 tells about the coming of Jesus (Elijah). Also through Ch4. *_ The book of Haggai about rebuilding the temple. Reference to Jesus and the Church. *_ Wings - Tassels of the corners - kanafs- Jesus reference. Amazing connection between the Old and New Testament. *_ Faith and reason - two wings that carry us. *_ Jesus and His thoughts should be the way to rebuild ourselves even if we read other philosophy *_ Yes! Just like the Bible and the history, despite confusion, we must focus and see that God is working to make our lives better through different threads woven together Thank you so much, Fr Mike, Jeff Cavins and the team Ascension. Prayers for you..If the Pope would go by Gods word, he would support Pres.Trumps Wall to make America a country...God restores as well as dacaments, the Church( Pope) & Walls.....God shows the helter skelter in ones life when we don't obey him..We'd all b better off obeying God in everything...Once we do it our way, look out for unhappiness...Amen..

I think the line between the place of sacrifice and the place of fellowship has become clouded today. In my Church there is loud fellowship in the sanctuary before and after Mass. There is no distinction and I think that somehow takes our attention from the sacrifice.
