The Royal Albert hall is known as the Holy Grail among the musicians. It has the best acoustics in the world. It holds about five thousand people not a lot when you think of the super bowl. However this venue is special it was built for a present by out Queen Victoria for her beloved Albert, Only people who can truly sing ever come here. Raye wrote all this she wanted a live orchestral album and she nailed it. This lady is known in the UK but her star has risen and now others are discovering her. Just like Ren and Chinchilla all British artists who went independent because they got jacked around and abused by their record labels. She's a sassy London girl. We're built different here

Haha I'm all about people who are built different, those are the ones I relate to the most. Happy to hear it. She's definitely one of a kind, at least from what I've seen so far.

I found Raye Just before I found Ren. I absolutely LOVE her and have so much respect for how she took on the industry and absolutely proved herself and her talent. Id highly recommend reacting to Ice Cream man, the official video but also one of the live versions.... its such a powerful track and her live performances are so intimate. Glad more people are finding this woman and her awesome talent!

Raye is phenomenal. She’s an artist where when I first heard her music, it wasn’t even just goosebumps: it’s the feeling I get of the sound penetrating through my body. She’s such a joy to watch and I wish nothing but the best for her and her career.

It’s about a man who she was dating.. he drugged her drink and umm.. stuff.. then when she broke up with him, he put on these Oscar Winning Tears. More of that story is told in ‘Black Mascara’ - but the music video tells the story best.

Time has so much value, don't be afraid to say "No" when you see that your relationship is going nowhere. It's your life, so treat it with respect. Also check out Ice Cream Man, pretty sure it will cause a lot of conversations.

Highly recommend checking out her live performance from the Brit Awards, but it's worth watching her music video for 'Ice Cream Man' first for context. She actually broke records at this year's Brit Awards winning the most awards in one night (6). The previous record (4) was held by Adele.

if you have time you need to do her full album, its mad. so many genres and a roller coaster, and the order of the songs man. if not try hard out here, its her first song from being out of an label that never let her release songs that she wanted for nearly a decade, and its all about the label and its sick.

Listening to what you’re saying about personal lyrics and do they reflect the actual person, is it real? One of my songs is called ‘On Hold’… it’s about escaping abuse. And it’s real. As songwriters we often draw on our lives for inspiration, perhaps women more than men 🤷🏻♀️. But you write about past lives, current life, battles, love - and those Oscar winning tears! I adore this live version. She’s a star. End of. (Nursey & The Engineer if u want to lyric listen…;-) ) Xx
