I hear you on the flipping between, and getting caught up in different artists. I would suggest always do what feels natural to you on any given day. You may grow subscribers slightly by doing the latest thing that drops, but you're more inclined to get returning viewers (the thing you should cultivate the most); if you simply go off what you want to do, or in the frame of mind to do. Great reaction and so glad you dropped this after you heard both tracks - you still ought to dig out the vid of TPain rapping his part - it was cool that he filmed it. I hope TPain knows how much love and respect he is getting from the Pete and Bas fans. He responded to the open verse challenge in such a fire way. And we know he wouldn't have done that unless he acknowledged that the OGs are the real deal. In the original version they give a nod to where they all come from: Tell a Hussie (Tellahassee for T Pain) and ringing the Bow bells - if you were born within the sound of the bells of the Church of St Mary le Bow - then you are a true Cockney. Love to all from the UK - and yes you must do some more Pete and Bas - they always produce a banger with bars on bars - even when having fun!!!!

They're cockney, they grew up with cockney rhyming slang. He says they do crosswords, especially if they're hard like cryptic or double clue gives them all the skills they need to write bars. Plus Bas was apparently a music teacher. I don't get why it's so hard for people to believe they write their own material with some help with modern words from their grandkids, "Hey grandad, there's this guy called Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory". Rhyming, double, and triple entendre were not recently invented things.
@TheBlackSpeedАй бұрын
Some of yall really not picking up on the comment as being more "it's COOL that these old dudes are able to do that as most old people are slangin' lines like this". THAT I think is more surprising. It's not that far-fetched, especially when your comment comes with the context of people who know them. Not everyone does. People their age can barely drive, let alone spit bars. That's all that comment means. It's a compliment. Anyway, I think that's why people may think it's hard to believe. No sarcasm, I hope that helps.

@@ianpereira3119 Did you just google that or do know what you're talking about? Cockney's have been around for generations and have moved around a lot since. It's a dialect... @StrangeworkingsАй бұрын
@@ianpereira3119 There is no evidence it has anything to do with Patwa or slaves...Where the did you get that from? Slavery was abolished in the UK in 1807. The best guess is that was invented by criminals or salesmen to avoid being understood by police or customers, and was then picked up the working class. There are tonnes of things that would accelerate their growth if they were industry plants, surely?
