Yes That is the way I was brought up too. As a young woman I cleaned houses for a living. But I always had my little old ladies, I would take care of on my way home. I came to dearly love these ladies, they felt like family to me. Now I am the little old lady. I cant tell you how this blessed me I sure wish I could get out and do this kind of work, all day. When i was 50, i decided I should buy my own house. I got in there and cleaned the whole back yard by myself. Now, I'm in my 70s and don't have the energy or strength I used to have. But, even with just SS, I am able to afford a lawn care service. They are good to me. Not every older person can afford lawn care, so people are blessed when young men like these two help out. I'm 61. When I was 8 and my grandmother was 61 an old man rejected by his children moved into the bungalow next to us. He was a ww2 veteran. Very depressed widower. My gran rolled her sleeves up and decorated his bungalow for him. She had 9 grandchildren she knitted jumpers for so time was precious. It was a good life lesson. And she never told people what she had done.

I turned 67 a few days ago. After an allergic reaction to a new medication, I had to be hospitalized for ten days. A few of my neighbors stepped right up and took great care of my little dog, coming over three times per day for her. I don't have family so this was especially appreciated.

@@DubeSkins-ok2dv my behind? I got it from actually observing the entire video, not simply commenting off the title. They get the title based off speaking with the guy from the competing landscape company that come over to talk to him while he is sitting in his truck after knocking on the door to the house the first time. They discuss if anyone lives there, and it's off of this guy that says he's mowed the neighbor's yard for several years that he "hasn't seen anyone in the entire time he's been cutting the neighbor's lawn." So he's talking about him personally, in a roulette type chance, mowing say once a week at best for an hour a week at the longest. That leaves 167 other hours each week when the old man could come outside to grab the mail, pick up a newspaper, let in his relatives, go out back and get in that minivan parked in front of the garage in the side ally and drive to the store. Take that and stick it where the sun don't shine, up your behind!

I questioned my husband when he watched this. He was a lawn worker thru college n answered me..."It' amazing how God works in so many ways. Look at that huge property. His kids are helping too. LOOK!!" I sat down w him on the couch n realized how magnificent this is - for everybody involved. Thanks God for showing our true human nature. 🙂 (IMO this is worth more than giving 10% of ur income to the collection plate)

Do you know how many times the home owners are going to look out their windows and door to see the beautiful work that you and your son's did. No one knows how many times they will think back on what you did for free. My husband landscaped for years and it's not an easy job. Your son's work so well together and with you. Beautifully done! Your decision to help a frail senior with yard maintenance was commendable, especially considering the potentially hazardous task it would have been for him to tackle alone. It was disappointing to see the chainsaw taken away just as your son was making progress in removing a dead tree and could have also addressed the adjacent tree shoots.
