5 years old! the film is immensely colorful like its source material with over-the-top action, plenty of callbacks to various episodes, and manages to teach the important value of friendship there's even an incredible cameo by Christy Carlson Romano herself which will be welcome surprise for long-time fans! despite a majority of changes made a lot of the young cast members do an impressive job bringing their animated counterparts to life Drakken and Sheego are their fun, campy selves next to this version of Ron plus the various locations fan know and love Sadie Stanley really makes the character of Kim spark and amazingly brings the feels for a lot of emotional moments it's a lot of her we haven't seen before which is a nice breath of fresh air there's even an insane plot twist I'm pretty happy I didn't see coming! that puts a whole new spin on things and for Kim herself all we can do is be the best version of ourselves, we cannot let jealously become us, is it more about what we do or who we are?, if others eclipse us then who are we?, being a better friend can make any one of us a better hero to my surprise this is actually a fantastic, updated version of the TV show; terrific thrills, meta references, great emotional heft, and a very clever end teaser that will hopefully lead to future stories if the makers can play their cards right happy to report that Kim Possible is still kicking and saving the world great job Disney!

Yes crying because a girl is better than her is very emotional; doesn't look ridiculous and lame at all 😂 It's cool if you enjoyed the movie. I think it's bad even if Drakken, Shego and Ron are funny. The rest is not good.

I've been watching the show, and man it feel I went back to the early 2000's. The jokes are still good and the animation is so fluid. You can't just take something that worked in 2d and make it live action. The only thing I know that did this well were the Rurouni Kenshin movies.

This movie really ain’t that bad! Fight me......it was just a breath of fresh air for the series and the actors fit their roles well enough. And the soccer bit was a callback to one of the first season episodes. And it was nice to see Christy Carlson Romano in the movie and Rufus wasn’t looking too shabby!

Reminds me of that crappy Inspector Gadget live-action film from the late 90s. Both this and IG had their original main voice actors/actresses make cameos; the late Don Adams voiced Brain the dog, during the credits in IG.

Ok to be fair about CGI Rufus. It could look way worse, considering they wanted to do a live action movie in the beginning of season 1 when they weren’t sure how long the show would go on for. Imagine if they actually went through with it. Rufus would’ve looked horrendous, so I’m quite pleased with what we got to be honest. Also if you see this movie as a “reboot” and as its own thing/own universe then it’s easier to get behind. I really think this movie gets too much hate sometimes. 😅

The casting for this movie was pretty solid imo. The biggest problem I had was that Warburton didn't reprise Barkin because no one can replace him. As for the plot and individual scenes... EVERYTHING was contrived, artificial, and just plain lame compared to the cartoon. I thankfully watched this disaster before watching the series, so I was pleasantly surprised by how good the latter was, but this movie's entire premise and its points of tension were just so... so bad.

I think the movie's main problem is they resorted to all the teen movie cliches that the animated series avoided. For example, Bonnie saw herself as the Alpha Bitch, but Kim was the actual Alpha. Kim was the captain and when she let Bonnie do it, they showed Bonnie didn't like all the responsibility.

While I personally didn't find this movie irredeemable and thought it could have been really good with a couple of more revisions to the script, i get why it ticked a lot of people off. Especially after seeing this review from someone who is clearly a die hard fan. As much as I adore the original show, there were definitely some points you brought up here that I didn't consider. And the best part? We have mid credit scene sequel bait! Yaaaaay.... I still stand by that the cast is solid. That was the best live action Drakken and Shego they could have possibly gotten! I know that they can´t do certain things due to budget and physical limitations but still. The show lived a lot from the exciting action and if that falls flat so does the movie. The fights with Shego were always a highlight of the episode and seeing it like that is just sad. Also they probably swapped her long unexplained superpowers for gauntlets for the same reason but still.

A pretty major nitpick I have with this movie (that I've seen no reviewer tackle, but then again I've only seen a few reviews of this) is Athena's name. They're trying to make her be the third or the infiltrator or the whatever to Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable, but Athena Nolastname doesn't exactly fit the mold. Give her a name like "Quinn Vincible". It wouldn't fix her character though.
