New sub here. I've been knitting for about 5 months now appear to be a visual learner. This is the easiest tutorial I've found a simple lacy stitch. A lot of other stitches are too confusing to grasp as a beginner but they are very much on my list of stitches to master. I'm going to need to practice this one specifically, as my cousin loves it and asked me to knit a baby car seat blanket with it (panic stations!!!)

What are the differences between this eyelet method (which I prefer,) vs. whe eyelet method in every other tutorial I've found where it's "yarn over, knit 2 together" ?
@TheBlueMouseKnits2 жыл бұрын
It’s a very minimal difference, the SKP (in this video) is a decrease that leans to the left whereas the K2tog in a lot of other methods is a right leaning decrease. An eyelet can be created with a YO and any single stitch decrease. It will for the most part be functionally the same with any single decrease unless you need the shaping to be specifically leaning a certain way. Hope that helps!

@@TheBlueMouseKnits it does help! Thanks! I'm wanting to do a scarf where I have 4 garter stitches, 1 eyelet, a body of stockinette stitch, 1 eyelet, and 4 garter stitches. So after your comment, I'm thinking maybe it'd be nice to do the eyelets on the right one way, and the eyelets on the left the other way? Because I could make them all "facing" either in or out
