This reminds of Heroes; a game that came out a few years ago. It looks good. Unfortunately, many of my gaming friends do not like simultaneous play.

I never played Heroes. How are the games similar?

The Board Game Kaptain there are simultaneous dice rolling and card playing actions. Game play was simple. Mastery was another matter.

The Board Game Kaptain the differences are that there isn’t a common deck. Players start with their own faction deck. Players can improve their decks by acquiring cards from the board a la Dominion. It was made by 2 Polish designers.
