But hey, if he thinks like that, just like Sanat over there, there's nothing I can do about it... I think... Specially in the KZbin comment section. And it's 2020, if they don't wake up and stop with the ignorance, the world will correct them in it's own way. My opinion, of course.

M. The video isn’t about being a woman. The video is about how a woman portrays her life would be like if she was a man. She portrays her life being infinitely easier. This is problematic because the idea that men have privileged lives is a false premise. Also, Taylor swift is extremely rich and famous. Everyone listens whenever she says anything. If a man made a video about how easy life would be as a female and all the privileges we would get, it would be demonized right away.

Great reaction guys! Also, not sure if you got the part where he (she) was with the little girl. She was speaking on how when men do the bare minimum as a father the whole world celebrates it but when a woman does a million times more (ie. They’re working women, activists, taking care of other family member, etc. And a mother on top on that) people are just like “eh, not impressive”.

@Sabine Mouton Exactly. Mothers are always put on a pedestal and constantly having their arses kissed in the mainstream media, the media NEVER focus on abusive deadbeat mothers. Its fine for movies and tv shows to portray fathers as unimportant, useless buffoons, but heaven forbid dads get a bit of credit now and again.

Ash I completely agree with what you guys are saying, but the symbolism is based of statistics. There is a excruciatingly larger percentage of single mothers then fathers, with fathers also being larger percentage to assault, abandon and abuse children. There are obviously sick and disgusting parents of both genders that are horrible to their children, but it’s just the fact that there are more mothers. So it stems this unrealistic image that when fathers do the bare minimum for their children they’re ‘father of the year’ just becuase it usually never happens.

@@Ash-gtr32 as far as i can remember, no matter male or female, but main characters from shy kids to superheroes tend to have these kind, strong, wise, powerful, , fathers or father figures, which they have very strong and emotional connection with even if they are dead for decades. They also get " villain" kind of fathers sometimes. but whenever there is a father figure in the picture, it's almost like mother figure doesn't have any importance to the character and the story, even if she is alive and living with them.

One thing I feel like the scene with the elderly man and young female getting married, when it’s the man that’s older people usually blame the woman for being a gold digger, but when it’s the woman who is older, she is a cougar. The men usually seem to skate by without blame in both scenarios.
