I love the Sunspell Riviera polo, as well as the Tom Ford Spectre polo and the Fred Perry one from Thunderball. I would have personally put them in a different order but good choices David.

@@TheBondExperience I personally (according to my personal taste) put my top 7 James Bond polos as follows: 7) the Dr No polo shirt, 6) the Tom Ford Quantum of Solace polo (purely because of the flaring at the bottom, it is not to my taste), 5) the Magnoli "Venice" polo shirt from Casino Royale, 4) the Olebar Brown "Thunderball" polo shirt, 3) the Fred Perry polo shirt from Thunderball, 2) the Tom Ford "Morocco" polo shirt from Spectre. The fit is perfect and like the banded bottom to it, I would definitely wear that and at number 1) the Casino Royale "Riviera" polo shirt. Again the fit is perfect and as you have said yourself it is iconic and the functionality is second to none.

Great video, David! I have to say, I need to wear shirts that do not fit quite so tightly because I own a security company and I carry a gun everyday. I need to wear shirts that do not "print" my handgun. I wear it concealed because I don't want to scare people. On the other hand I am prepared to help protect people around me. Now, I am not some cowboy who carries a gun to intimidate anyone and am highly trained to carry a weapon and use it if necessary to protect my family and friends and anyone around me. The point is that I have to wear clothes that allow me to move and still conceal my handgun. I love your videos and agree with you on your choices here. I am so glad you chose the Fred Perry polo especially as I played tennis on my high school team and wore Fred Perry polos to play in back then. The fact that James Bond wore one only made it that much sweeter to wear while I played tennis against my opposing teams. So, thanks for that. Just one more thing. I can't afford an Aston Martin to drive, but I can afford a Mercedes Benz AMG that will keep up with the Aston Martins that Craig drives as Bond. The styling of my CL 55 AMG is very similar to the Astons though is completely Mercedes Benz. When I drive it I totally feel Bondian with its performance and style. So, once again, great video, I enjoy them and your choices as I continue to watch your videos! Well done, Sir!

Sunspel all day long for me. I have a few Sunspel polos a well as shirts and sweaters and the cut and quality are always fantastic. I would of course love to own the Tom Ford Steve McQueen shawl collar cardigan though!

The Sunspel for me too. I have a couple. Plus, Sunspel’s head office is in a town in the UK called Long Eaton, which is where I grew up. In addition, several members of my family worked there so it holds and even more personal connection.

Of course not a big surprise that the Sunspel is your number one. I loved your story to go with it, because yes, it is one of those items that transcends Bond, a real invisible Bond moment. I had a few Sunspels years ago but after a while I ended up with an Orlebar Brown polo and never looked back. Nowadays that is my go-to casual look; jeans/chino, white or navy polo (or another color if I am feeling really frisky) and although I switched brands, it all started with that first Sunspel! Of the seven in your video, I think I like the Fred Perry the best, just a classic style that never went away. -Tyler

You really can never go wrong with a good Fred Perry. I remember rewatching Thunderball a few years ago and realized that Bond had a Fred Perry, and that I had already acquired some Bond cool on my own without being aware. A true iconic brand.

@@TheBondExperience, I agree with both Davids here, Zaritsky and Rixson, respectively. I have 4 or 5 long sleeved polo shirts. All but one of them are long sleeved Ralph Lauren Polo shirts. I guess that makes them "double Polo" shirts, LOL! I keep looking at the grey Tom Ford jeans from the Bond 25 filming and trying to convince myself that they are worth the expense. Then again, when I found out that Daniel Craig was wearing Scotch and Soda jeans, I had to check them out. I liked them right away though their appeal to me has faded a bit as they are all "skinny jeans" and with size 13 shoes at my base, the "skinny jeans" effect makes my feet look absolutely huge. Regardless, after trying a pair, I didn't hesitate to grab 3 pairs of them, LOL!

Great video! Although I don’t have those brands in my polo wardrobe, I have however some fitted navy polos that I often pair up with khaki, light blue or black chinos. I have to agree with you that Sunspel gives any man the opportunity to feel like Bond. Fun fact, while watching your video, I drew a ticket, at my store, to wait in line and the number that I luckily drew was 007. It seems that I have been chosen!😂 Anyway, great video! I have two favorite companies for polos. For short sleeve my go to is a company called Ministry of Supply. Great fit and a classier look. For long sleeves I like a Swedish company oline called John Henric

Just got my Sunspel Riviera. Ordered it based on this video! Love it. (Just FYI: Got large I'm 6' 2" with 41" chest and 32" waist.. Ordered size L. But had to have tailored to make it fit properly (shortened, too). If I was to reorder, I'd go with a medium.)

Hello David I agree totally with your video! Me too! My favourite is the riviera polo. I already want to buy another one. I actually have a question about how to care of the Riviera polo when you wash it. In my washing machine it says warm (100 degrees F) and cold (70 degrees F).. The polo shirt says that you have to wash it warm at 40 degrees celcius.. I want to preserve the color as much as I can. So, which temperature do you recommend me to wash it? 100 or 70? I'm really confused :(! On the other hand. I'm really eager to buy the wool black polo or the long sleeve black riviera polo from sunspel also. And the last question is that if I use S on the riviera polo, do you recommend me to buy the S or XS of the linen O.B. Thunderball shirt? As much as I love the fashion not everyone can afford a Tom Ford polo/suit. For alternative I always feel ETON shirts is a great choice for ultra nice shirts that are still expensive but more affordable. Lacoste for polos as well.

Sorry David but you’re wrong when you talk about your Omega watch when you’re wearing the Venice long sleeve polo. Bond wears the same Omega Seamaster 300 he had been wearing throughout the casino scenes in Montenegro. You can even see it when Bond’s walking arm in arm through Venice with Vesper. The last scene he wore the Planet Ocean was when he wore the Riviera polo whilst getting his mission. from M in the Bahamas.
