Hey guys, if you scrolled down to the comments after the abrupt drop in audio quality at 21:51, here's why. KZbin decided to demonetize the ENTIRE video over this one section, usually they would tell you if you violated copyright rules before you upload a video, but I was told 5 full hours after the video had already dropped, and you can't just replace a video. But I won't let them win that easy. I uploaded the section in full on the second channel so you can view it as it was originally intended. Fuck youtube copyright. Little known fact, but there's a very good reason as to why Sister Location uses a custom cursor. If you look closely, you can see that the cursor warps with the background. That is because the perspective effect only affects the visuals, but not the hitboxes, meaning that objects near the edges would be incredibly hard to click since their hitboxes are far away from the background. Since the custom cursor is also affected by the distortion, what you see is what you click

49:05 the three stages about challenges actually has a more professional psychological explanation for it! the first stage is simply because of the lack of emotional investment in the challenge. you haven't added much effort into it yet, so if you lose you don't really lose a whole lot. the second stage, however, is a lot more complicated. firstly, there are multiple types of reactions in the second stage, each based on the four trauma responses, fight, flight, fawn, and freeze. fight is the one you showed, with anger and aggresive outbursts. flight would be crying or feeling distraught; fawn would be looking for ways to redo or undo what you did; and freeze would simply be denial or confusion. the third stage sounds like dissociation. it's similar to zoning out, but instead of your brain being distracted by your thoughts, it instead refuses or is unable to properly process your surroundings/emotions. when dissociation is caused by trauma, such as in this case, it can last for a long period of time. it often causes apathy, slowed and minimal reaction reaction, memory loss, and feeling like you're in a dream/not in reality, aka derealization. the brain typically does this when processing trauma, and often becomes more severe when the brain is reminded of the trauma. as you stated in the video, the best course of action is to take a break, especially in the second or third stages. continually experiencing trauma when you already have it, especially if fresh and related, can have detrimental effects on the brain. in more severe cases, like maybe harassment or violence, it can lead to ptsd or c-ptsd. but either way, please take breaks to allow your brain to properly process things before continuing! and remember, ANYTHING can be trauma as long as your brain can't process it properly. _ANYTHING._
@kaiba94944 ай бұрын
I've heard about dissociation from a video about a plane accident where the pilots completely lost access to navigation and roamed the plane around the Amazon forest in awful weather for hours, only getting further away from the right path until fuel ran out. The cockpit voice recorder picked up the pilots going through a process similar to those 3 stages with the "challenge" being getting out of this situation and back to safety. Near the end one of the pilots muttered "Let's pray it's all just a bad dream". Instead of focusing on finding the solution, he began looking for a way to just stop feeling the stress and get away from the responsibility

@@inutamer3658 Majority of the time gamers are right about probability..because it's literally listed in the code (only cases they're ever wrong is if they add up probabilities incorrectly). Him dying to foxy WAS unlucky: it was unlucky he got toybonnie as his only/first black screen and toybonnie being the ONLY animatronic to not pause foxy (probably a coding error), and it was unlucky foxy rolled the lowest he possibly can, it was also unlucky THIS was the time he accidentally started the timer late..if anything was different the late time wouldn't of mattered, but he got the perfect set of unlucky events that the incorrect timer killed him. By all means he's correct in this instance..it IS horrendously unlucky, and it makes sense he'd be pissed.
@inutamer36583 ай бұрын
@testerwulf3357 no... applied probability is different from just know what the odds of some event are. It's important to understand which of these are dependant, independent, and not disregard the sample size as well as the fact you can't really see the lucky events which must occur by law of large numbers because they don't have a detrimental effect (it's a form of survivorship bias.) Just know what the code does, does not provide a proper study on the statistics and where he lies (mean, lucky, or unlucky) especially based on disjoint events
@inutamer36583 ай бұрын

Just a few corrections i noticed along the way (gonna update as i watch the vid) 17:22 yes there is a check to leave on 5 second intervals, but there is also a check on her normal intervals, not just 5 second intervals 22:42 it can be turned on anytime, it only gets turned off on 1 second intervals 30:47 once he moves into the vent its a 500 frame counter not 200, so 8.33 seconds not 3.33, tho its effectively the same thing in terms of gameplay (its actually slightly more complex than this, but for simplicity sake you get the point) 32:00 toy bonnie also has a similar timer that can be abused in the same way, he wont kill you until hes been in the vent opening for 1000 - (the night number * 100) frames, which on night 7 is 300 frames or 5 seconds 35:40 oh look thats me 36:30 this is mostly wrong, the 10 second interval thing ONLY applies to when they are right next to the door, and once they are in either all side they cannot move back to hall corner positions. (i know this was explained a few seconds later but it still confused me a bit so it would probably confuse others too so im just gonna add it just incase.) 39:09 it doesnt matter how many times you go to a wrong door, its all based on a counter that goes up when bonnie and chica are at the doors, which is 20 - the night number seconds, if they are ever at the door for that amount of time or greater without being fended off, then you turn to the bed, you will die. (i think he just said that if you go to the doors 3 times you would die because thats what would happen if you did that during this strategy, so just wanted to make it clear that thats not how it actually works, its was just a simplification.) 39:57 oh look thats me 41:56 the fake laugh intervals will be OFFSET by the time that hes on the bed, if hes on the bed for 5 seconds his intervals are NOT 5 seconds (so 5 10 15 20 etc) they are OFFSET by 5 meaning they are on 5 15 25 35 45 etc. 55:20 oh look thats me

That cycle analogy later in the video where you described how mentally taxing challenges can be was so unbelievably relatable and real. I used to grind out really hard levels in geometry dash back in the day, and the mental toll that came with deaths really far into the level really did progress this cycle. From enjoyment, to wanting the level to be done with, to sheer indifference. It’s a darker side of challenge runs and the like in video games that you don’t truly comprehend unless you’re put into that situation yourself. Nonetheless, the pure satisfaction of finally pulling off beating a level after 157k attempts was unrivalled. The rough mental cycles you go through may be incredibly rough, but the light at the end of the tunnel is truly beautiful. Amazing challenge run and vid as always broski, keep up the amazing work :)

Normally I just watch videos like this while doing something else, but I literally took everything aside for this one. Keep up the great work, you definitely got my sub!

52:22 I completely agree with the taking a break and taking care of yourself. I've been grinding GD every day for an entire year non stop now and I can't stress it enough how important taking care of your mental is for games and challenges like these, I was down in the dumps for ~2 months when grinding digital descent just because I was stuck, no progress, and it was awful. I took a week break and came back to it around end of april and I beat it in 2 weeks. Sleep, eating and anything that takes you off from these games is extremely important for a good mental And congrats on such a big challenge man, awesome to see the boundaring you're breaking with these

Good stuff brother, you’ve got crazy determination and discipline on these challenges + your grind on KZbin, for someone to be completely in the zone for around about 35-50minutes without losing much focus at all is fantastic, you’ve got one of the most powerful mental state I’ve seen, and I’m not joking at all. I admire your work ethic and will with these games and can’t wait to see you grow as a fnaf KZbinr and as a person, you’ve made me get back into grinding fnaf 2 10 20 mode when your “how players removed randomness” video came out, I still haven’t completed but I feel I’m almost there (mobile player) - much luv

Thanks to your FNaF 3 strategy I have beaten Aggresive nightmare. I had tried it for under an hour of time in total and your strategy with the camera groups and the danger sound being quieter or louder really helped me to beat it. Also congratulations on completing this very hard looking challenge!

This is one of the coolest fnaf-centric channels I have seen in a while! I have always enjoyed channels like DJ Sterf and Shooter25 for taking on the more difficult, technical side of the fnaf games, so a look into the mindset of a player in this format is very entertaining

Absolutely legendary. I’ve seen you angry and broken before, but this was on a whole other level. Even though I haven’t attempted this kind of challenge (and probably never will), the utter emotional pain and loss of emotion is something I know all too well. And I’m amazed that in spite of it all, you eventually pulled through and beat the challenge! Godspeed, man! Godspeed!

I remember attempting this with just the base nights cause there aint NO shot I'm doing a max mod marathon, I thought it was genuinely impossible. Farthest I got was FNAF 4, but FNAF 4 gives me immense paranoia so I had to stop for my health. But here it is, finally completed. Thank you for avenging me. :)

49:05 I love this part of the video This is a FANTASTIC description of how it feels like to do stuff like that. I myself have done 2 things that made me feel that way. First of all Geometry Dash. Second of all Mega Man no miss runs. The advice you gave is amazing. One quote that has helped me through those is: "Anger can make you strong, but calmness can make you even stronger" (I heard it from an NPC in ComHotel if you are wondering). If you are challenging yourself, stay calm. If you are getting mad, take a break. And I'm not saying "every 10 attempts stop it and take multiple days off". A small break to help you calm down is enough. Go outside, look at nature, maybe do something else you like. Just enjoy life.

Congrats on the challenge man, even though I'm not much of a FNAF fan, I'm a fan of game challenges and I know the feel of beating one myself as a hardcore MMO player and sometimes going on a trip past memory lane and playing some older games. I also know the feeling of the cycle, and there is something that always helps. Whenever you are feeling like that, breathe and remember you've completed challenges as hard as or worse than that. Despite being a month late to the video, enjoy the relief a won challenge gives you, you deserve it man.
