If you notice carefully, each dish is made without onion or garlic. This is not just because this is a pujo thali. When we Bengalis eat veg food, we do not put onion or garlic. Or traditionally, we did not use to!

Yeah..we have 2 fire and different utensils for niramish and amish. LoL. But most cooking videos I find very funny as I've never seen mom cooking in cold karai cold oil. It's super smokey hot then phoron then veggies or dal. LoL. And with pure mustard oil no refined oil of any kind. And we never had hing as yet, mom don't mix methi, pach phoron, with onions or garlic.

@Gayatri Sahu , shukto traditionally has milk added to it. This balances the bitter and hot, flavours of the mixed veggies and also adds a creamy taste to the dish..

In weeks two or three days most of Bengali eat pure veg dishes .kyu ki West Bengal me 70 percent Bengali Hindu hi rahete hai aur hamare iha every month pe bohot puja- utsaav bhi hote rahete hai.

Good thali. But we Bengalis use lots more oil to fry the begun. Paneer was to be replaced with chanar balls dear. And for payesh your process was bit different from what bengali households usually do and cherries aren't included usually. The shukto and Peper chatni was obviously greatly done. The effort for mishti doi was marvelous But allover very appealing and must have tasted awesome

In bengali shukto adding turmeric is not a valid practice and also dont add chili in it. And in my opinion instead of adding shahi paneer , the traditional dhokar torkar would have been more appropriate because shahi paneer is not a bengali dish. Moreover, in payesh so much of dry fruits are not needed.
