Superb.. excellent preparation.. we Maharashtrians use little jaggary also in all usal/ sabji. It enhances the overall taste of subji and balances khatta swad. Lots of love❤️

Love this. I make pithla a lot. One quick Northern twist to it. Add a lot of kasoori methi instead of dhaniya. It tastes amazing! Another idea is to use dahi to mix besan instead of water. That makes it a thick kadhi like recipe called आळण.
