love the fact you are sharing the different levels of the art of bonai. and that no matter what level you are everyone shares in the basic principles of the art, and everyone loves it the same. the end goal no matter the stage is the same. beautiful nigel.

I think this is a really important part of bonsai, most of the bonsai's life is not picture perfect, you wouldn't see it in a magazine or in a show.

Hi Nigel, wondering what you (and Connor) do when you need to be away from home for a few days (a week, maybe more). I only have a few trees but it's always a nightmare whenever I want to go anywhere for a few days, just to ensure that everything gets watered correctly. Greetings from Portugal!

@@connor4069 would be interesting to know. In SA we have the Bitou bush (Osteopernum/ Chrysanthemoides monilifera). They also get nice woody stems and have yellow flowers.
