Little trivia: Before Warhammer even existed; Citadel, the studio that would grow to became Games Whorkshop; published the White Dwarf magazine. At the time; the WD was not a Warhammer magazine thougth (as Warhammer did not exist yet) but a magazine about roleplaying, miniature games and overall fantasy an scy-fy themes. As it would cover both thoose themes; the editors decided that name: White Dwarf; at it could refer both to a white bearded dwarf of fantasy; or could also refer to a class of small star, reference to science fiction and space opera. Later, the miniature designers of Citadel would develop a ruleset for their vast array of miniature games: Warhammer; and the White Dwarf would become the oficial magazine to the newborn company of Games Workshop... in time; the editors would not only create the "pet" of the magazine; the titular White Dwarf (and his nemesis; the Black Gobbo) but also make miniatures and include a ruleset and even a lore for him inside Warhammeer itself.

Well yes WH Fantasy history is pretty much littered with plot armor protecting the Asur and making Druchii not do the things that would make them win. End Times as well were they literally force most of the Druchii and Dawi to essentially commit suicide because the End Times wouldn't work if Druchii and Dawii were allowed to fight half competently.

Your videos are amazing, I took an 11 hour + drive to Florida. During the 8 hour period before we would arrive I convinced my brother to listen to your videos, and we just kept listening while we drove. Skavenblight, Lizardmen lore, Dark Elf lore. All of it we listened to them and he kept asking questions about Warhammer that I was all to happy to answer. Our first long drive together was definitely a memorable one.

So I might have misunderstood the video but in the lore the dwarves and elves did not meet until after the first great war against chaos called the great catastrophe. The two races met after Aenarion the Defender had disappeared after returning the sword of Khaine, Bel Shanaar had been crowned the new Phoenix King and Malekith had left to establish the colonies which now is made up of Bretonnia. Malekith met the dwarves first and established good relations with and together the dwarves and Malekith fought against the orcs and the remnants of chaos from the great catastrophe.

The first contact between elves and dwarfs was when Caledor Dragontamer met Grimnir, he learned from him that the chaos energies that allowed the demons to manifest came from the north, where the gates of the old ones had collapsed, with that knowledge Caledor would engineer the ritual to create the vortex. Caledor and grimnir exchanged gifts and parted ways. After that and many centuries later an elf crew became stranded in the coast of what would become Tilea after their ship sank, only the captain and another elf survived, they were both found by dwarf scouts and were almost killed on the spot, after the dwarfs were convinced they could be treated and reasoned with they took them to Karaz a karak and the elf captain learnt khazalid and spoke with Snorri telling him of the elves and their wonders. Malekith would appear in Karaz a karak some years later after encountering other Dwarf scouts, he eventually got the two elves secretly assassinated before more elves came because he wanted all the glory and merit of discovering the Dwarfen kingdoms and engineering an alliance between elves and dwarfs for himself. He would be appointed ambassador to the Dwarf high king by Bel Shannar for this reason.

After watching this video I decided to start my own campaign as him cause I’ve never played the Dwarves. Only a few hours in and I’m already the strongest military on the map and have confederated with most of the other Dwarves nearby. Got Gotrek and Felix turn 3-6 so that helped. I feel like his blue skills are overpowered as hell because they are faction-wide. (I’m also playing on normal difficulty cause I’m not a sadist)
