I just finished this book. It was my Christmas present from my daughter in law, and once I started reading it, I couldn’t stop! Spent all Christmas Day reading. Such a great story. Thank you Bonnie!

No offense but please let the author speak more, we don’t need all your anecdotes. I wanted to hear from Bonnie Garmus, please.

Fabulous book. Bonnie Garmus seems to be a very patient and friendly individual. She must be to endure such a chatty interrogation by Carol Fitzgerald. Personally I would have rather heard more from Bonnie first-hand.

Pencils are FORBIDDEN in labs .. you must always write in ink and only use a single strike through line to retract something. It's imperative that everything is recorded, for better or for worse. No erasing!!!

I LOVE THE COVER OF THE BOOK! DON’T LISTEN to the women in STEM they are over thinking it. A). The cover is exactly what made me pickup the book and start reading. The pencil and the test tubes are enough of a ‘nod’ toward her intelligence. This cover is greasy - It stands out! The fact that this *IS* a Rom Com, it’s funny *AND* it makes serious points about women in the workforce *AND* issues with the church is an absolute bonus. It makes the book a trifecta! (Romance, Comedy & exposing Serious Issues/injustice). B). If this was marketed as a book about women fighting to be taken seriously in a male dominated workforce…. Not as many women would have read it and loved it as we have. I am a retired tech exec and can totally relate to the workplace trauma that Elizabeth suffered, but The STEM women are just over thinking it. C) I love the fact that Elizabeth was drop dead gorgeous *AND* super intelligent at the same time. That combination was fabulous. Don’t apologize for a book cover that jumps off the shelf and makes people want to pick it up! Job One in book selling!

Another fabulous interview! Thank you !! I am listening to “Lessons in Chemistry “ on audible right now and love it. The narrator is perfect. I grew up in the 50s and really enjoy this story. 🎉🎉🎉

The cover was not interesting to me at all. I only bought the book after watching shorts of the show on Appletv.

Disturbing rape scene at the outset .. unnecessary cruelty.
