In Jerusalem, Israel I met my friend Moshe Arzooan for the first time. Moshe runs the "Old School Trucking" page on Facebook.
I interviewed him about his passion for American trucks and truck culture and he talked about the years he drove trucks in America.
You can also find Moshe on KZbin / @moshearzooan
and on Instagram

Even on vacation, you're doing videos. Thanks ! Great 👍 stuff. Love the interview! For years I thought I was the only weird Trucker need out there. Can't believe there others in America, let alone on other continents.

I can definitely relate to what you guys said about not knowing anyone else interested in big rigs. Growing up, I never met anyone interested in them. Until this day, I have no friends or family interested like I am.

Haha! Imagine you're watching a random video when you realize it's filmed 5 minutes from your house, too funny. Maybe youtube realizes it and puts it in your feed. Enjoyed your chat very much even though I know nothing about trucking. Moshe is really cool, great stories of his time in the US. I grew up in Worcester MA so I'm sure you've trucked thru there. The railroad tracks you were walking on are quite historic. It was built in the time of the Ottomans and went from Jaffa to Jerusalem, the first or one of the first in the middle east. If you walk another 5 minutes north on it you get to the old train station which until about 10 years ago was still in it's original condition, then they converted it into restaurants, music, etc. If you'd like to learn more about it wiki Jaffa-Jerusalem railway. Hope you're enjoying your time in Israel! will check back to see if you film more in Israel. Thanks!

Thank you so much for stopping by and watching. One reason it may have popped up in your feed is because some of the hashtags I used when creating the video like #israel #jerusalem. I'll look up the history of the train path, we spent some time at the First Station market place and stayed 4 nights at the Orient. I have more videos coming from Israel. 👋😊

I can relate to the trucks in TV and movies thing - when I was a kid in the 80s there wasn´t much on here in Germany either, but we had the A-Team on TV. The episode "West Cost Turnaround" had a nice old White cabover, "Knights Of The Road" a cool old wrecker, there were some cool trucks in the "Cup A´Joe" episode and "Timber!" had an amazing yellow late 60s Kenworth W900 logging truck... That and some Revell Kits like the Peterbilt Wrecker and the RoadTrain Kenworth W900a started my passion for US trucks back then.

Actually it’s other way around,DAF owns Paccar(Peterbilt and Kenworth), same as Volvo owns Mack,Freightliner and Western Star owns by Daimler(Mercedes’ Benz) corporation and International owns for 25% by VW heavy duty, unfortunately no more Classic American trucks, grid and uncompetens kill the industry .
