It sounds like something that could actually exist. It's highly plausible if the CoD were a reflection of the real world. It's also a little scary and creepy for that very same reason. Great job!

The Chronicles of Darkness, as a whole, is distorted and altered reflections of the human condition. Hunter is the closest one to humanity, which makes it the most terrifying - which, like you stated Charles, comes dangerously close to reality! This is the reason why I love Hunter so much, it's the most pure horror book of the CoD line!

One way to use a merciful attitude towards Mage characters is to point out that the original Hebrew is closer to practitioners of dark magic, and the term witch was shorthand for this at the time that the Bible was translated to English. A mage who does not use their powers to harm their fellow humans would then fall outside that mandate.

Nick clearly hates everything that isn't a regular dude. Just don't mention to him that every monster that appears in CoD most likely started out as just a regular dude. Thank you so much for mentioning the music, that Southern Gospel flair really drove it home!

@@TheBotchPit To be fair, Mage is one of the groups I have a passing... dislike? Disinterest? for in the New world games. Since, like with vampire, I prefer it in old world. Unlike werewolf, or most of the other lines, which I think are better in new world. So it can be said that I, too, hate mages.

@@williamchristy9463 If you have a burning hatred of Mages, I highly suggest looking at Banishers, a Mage: The Awakening supplement. It discusses those mages that have awakened, but reject the wonders of the Supernal in favor of violent ignorance. Think of them like Mages who hunt other Mages! It's a book that we will dedicate a guide to at some point in the near future!

Fantastic video as always, I gotta admit i am not a huge fan of 'Long Night' however they are interesting at the very least. I hope we can hear more of other Compacts&Conspiracies soon.

In terms of guides, Nick is 100% devoted toward Hunter Compacts and Conspiracies at the moment, so he'll be getting them up as soon as he can. As a teaser Fenrirwolflord, he's already stated that he's working on the Loyalists of Thule! Nick is also the audio engineer who does all the play-through sessions (which is, unfortunately, why this one took so long to come out). Going forward, we're going to be alternating releases (1 session, 1 compact/conspiracy)!

@@TheBotchPit Yea i heard he was the Audio guy and good on him for enjoying something like that. Also good to know that more stuff will be coming out both sessions as well as compacts/conspiracy's. Of course i hope other stuff come's out as well such as Beast stuff! or other varies books more vampire or mage be welcome. I believe that is more your thing given from what i have heard Nick is pretty hard core devoted to Hunter. Still continue doing the good work guy's and take your time just not to long.....don't mind the whip cracking i promise it wont hurt...err i mean happen to often.

@@RotaFury Beast is 100% in the works, Chris has just started and stopped it about 40 times since promising it hahaha! He just wants to ensure that he does a great job with it, as the source material is proving incredibly difficult for him to struggle bus through. Nick also purchased it and harassed him about The Dark Mother (The Mother of Monsters) and related it to Lady Gaga (Mother Monster). He didn't find it funny in the least.

Ok but what would the interaction be with Lancea et Sanctum vampires? Like, imagine the hunters trying to convince a vampire into accepting Jesus in their heart and they say “I’m ALREADY a Christian! I go to mass every dusk!”

You know there might actually be a way to justify members of the Long Night and Magicians Mages working together. The Three Wise men who visited Jesus upon his birth were also known as the three Magi, and it can be argued that the term Magician came from the Magi. Its abit of a stretch but some smart roleplaying could make it work, especially in regards to the Obrimos who gain power from Angels.

Absolutely, Lilith! Especially if The Long Night sees usefulness in their powers for the congregation verse the mages using and abusing it for themselves. However, it really all depends on the open-mindedness of that particular cell that found them! If you do mention the Obrimos to them, their minds may just explode.

@@TheBotchPit I can just see an Orbimos pulling a Gandalf on them just to add an extra shock to it all. Obrimos: 'I am a servant of the Archangels, whisperer of their secret names, and you shall not pass!" LN: "W..a….Did you say Archangel?" Yeah Orbimos might be the best (as far as I know) Mage type to show the Long Night that they aren't all bad.

Yeah, I almost said mages. But in the video I think that early part about the vampires it seemed a little more fearful and the later part about mages was a little more full of fury. In the fantasy setting I love playing the “monster” class. “For the Horde”!!! I just can’t help giving a friendly “poke” at those that ,in short, are the opposite. In that moment you seemed like an “opposite”. Btw good video, keep up the great work! 👍
