@@REDxFROG Very true. I should have been clearer, I was noting that the weakness of lego in general is the difficulty in including triangles for strength and therefore things have to be somewhat over-engineered as a result. The break was the pegs not being strong enough to hold the stacked parts together given what happened. If I have enough suitable lego myself I'd try to make some parts of this amazing build just to see if I could!

Great condition. Yes, the counterweight and poor hook design. The chain was too big for the hook. After the modification and additional crane operator training the process was und3r control. Amazing! How much of the mechanism works for disassembly and prepping the tower crane for the next job?
@TheBrickWallTeam5 жыл бұрын
Excellent question, the crane can disassemble itself. It does it in reverse, First - hold the bottom section with yellow grabbers, second- use pins in the lift mechanism and insert them into the second section, third - raise the tower until it detached from the first section, 4- remove the first section out, 5- lower the tower and continue.... Unfortunately I did not film the disassemble process , it will make video too long. great question. thank you.

So now I have the Rough Terrain and Mobile Cranes, and after building both of them, the project will be a total redesign to get the boom traveler moving, and get power on all three axes of the 7905.
