I fully support educating kids into games like Backgammon and Bridge. However, Bridge's ranking system belongs in the dark ages. What sport or game can you think of that has a ranking system that only goes in one direction?

Agree, it's really frustrating. The English Bridge Union spent a lot of effort coming up with a meritocratic system, but as far as I know, no-one else in the world has adopted it :\

@@sashacooper9326 I've been banging that drum with the Australian BF for years. And running a system like the fantastic one the EBU has developed doesn't preclude running Masterpoints alongside it!!!
