Great retrospective of the band and it's subsequent downfall. You know you're doing something right when the very band in question comments on your video. Which, in my mind, is both an accomplishment all in itself, to get the attention of a globally known and recognized band. But also, further proves that any disparaging thoughts or options derived by the video are factually true. Proof of this? Trapt was a guilty pleasure of mine up until 2017 or so. It was always something that didn't require a ton of engagement but was easy enough to come in and out of. Bummer that Chris doubled down on his views, such a waste. That being said, former guitarist Robb Torres formed a band called Robbery Inc which is fan-fucking-tastic! Hard Rock/Blues vibes.

Honestly, I can't decide between either Trapt or Puddle Of Mudd having the largest downfall in Modern Rock history. I guess Trapt wins out by default since Wes Scantlin is smart enough to not share his politics or engage with random trolls on the internet, But at the same time Puddle Of Mudd was a far bigger band than Trapt were and have degraded in quality so bad that you just have to wonder wtf happened and who allowed it. Like at least with Trapt for as bland as their music is, You can't really argue that they degraded in quality much and Chris Taylor Brown doesn't sound like he strains everytime he sings. But with Puddle Of Mudd it's the total opposite, Their comeback album "Welcome To Galvania" wasn't that bad (Though it was noticeably worse in production than previous releases) and it did produce a Top 10 Mainstream Rock hit in "Uh Oh", But their most recent album "Ubiquitous" is nothing short of a complete disaster. A bunch of demos lazily stitched together and thrown out with zero polish. Idk if you've considered it or not but Puddle Of Mudd would be an interesting rabbit hole to dive into, It's basically never ending.

I like a few of their songs from their albums, it’s too bad that he couldn’t keep his big mouth shut and his opinions to himself, it pains me in a way that Trapt was a part of my music journey into rock music and eventually getting me to like heavier music as a Teenager, I’ll still jam to a handful of Trapt songs every now and then but this whole situation with the lead singer is just sad and I don’t agree with most of the dudes takes either, man 2020 was a fever dream there was definitely something in the water

I actually really love Trapt, I couldn’t pick a song of theirs that I don’t like at least a little bit. The lead singer speaks his mind and I can appreciate that even if I don’t agree, everyone’s got different opinions though. Nickelback is arguably way, way worse. The Trapt self titled album is completely overshadowed by its first track but I think this is one of my most favorite albums ever, I’d put it next to Read Music/Speak Spanish (Desaparecidos)and The Anti Mother (Norma Jean) in my top 3 albums of all time
