In this weeks Edinburgh vlog we simply take a walk down the royal mile in Edinbrugh, We start at Edinburgh Castle and head all the way down to Holyrood Palace. We point out some cool Edinburgh History points not to miss as well as seeing what's changed since the pandemic.

As a child, I lived in the Grassmarket with my granny who like yourself was highly knowledgeable about the City. She furnished me with a notebook and pencil and told me to go forth and explore. Very close to the oldest continually used lodge room in the world! Rabbie Burns was a member there and I'm getting a tour of it this August! Cannot. Wait!

Do love the royal Mile. Was recently in Edinburgh to visit my son. On the Friday we went to see him play at Banshees in his Band. It was brilliant. Im Scottish, stay in Ireland but love Edinburgh .

While you were walking down the Canongate, you stopped at Reids Court and wondered aloud, who lives there? Well, we had the privilege a few years ago of staying at the townhouse on the right just behind the gate. The white building with the red door was the house for the Minister of the Canongate Kirk (it still may be!) The tree in the courtyard has a plaque that was dedicated by Her Majesty. We loved the area, so quiet.
