I have arranged for some of my ashes to be in Edinburgh and some to be with my granddaughter, ive told my daughter that once that's done she can smoke the rest 😁

Another enjoyable and informative view of my old home town. I checked out the previous video of your tour of Gladstone’s Land …good stuff. I know the information you provide is mainly for tourists, but for people like me who have lived abroad for many years, it is such a joy. Thanks Tony.

Great to see people again! I can't recommend The Scotch Whisky Experience enough Tony. Even those that don't care for the drink will find it interesting. Great place to dine prior to the Tattoo as well.

I just arrived home from the City on Friday. After yet another wonderful Trip! 5 days of Superb Weather. Walked everywhere from my Hotel on Frederick St. Botanical Grdns, Inverleith Park/Lake, Dean Village, Princes St. Then I did the reverse of your Trip. Top to Bottom. Branching off here and there (Bank Museum. Greyfriars Kirk). It took me all day. And the Students were Protesting at the Parliament!!! lol. On Thursday I walked to Portobello Seafront. Then on to Musselburgh. Stunning wee Spots. I didn't see Davy The Piper, once. As we usually have a wee chat. Is he ill...? Tony. And thanks again for all your tips, my Friend. Take care...O

Edinburgh was beautiful this past week, enjoyed the Royal Mile, Princes Street, the gardens. Gray Friars Kirkyard, saw Tom Riddel's tombstone. The National museum was great and just loved the observation deck. Tony, we loved your castle. As hard as we looked we could not find your name, lol. Loved your city and can't wait to revisit it. P.S. Greggs is the best. Loved the sausage roll and the bacon bunties. Sorry we did see you on the street. Wish your wife a happy mother's day.

Hello again, I am with you at the bottom of the Canongate looking up the road and my goodness the buildings didn’t look like that when I was a chlld playing with my school friend in White Horse Close.I had another friend who lived in a stair which has been taken in with the childhood museum. It had a circular stone staircase and as har family lived in one room, we played on the stairs.

Hi I have been watching your videos for the entire pandemic 😁thanks for being a bright spot. We had a trip to Scotland planned August 2020 and well… that didn’t happen. it is now on for Sept 2022 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻your videos are so helpful!! Question what’s the best way to find reputable tour companies/ guides our plans a few days in Edinburgh ( you have made our Edinburgh plans easy) then take a train to Inverness for a few days. We “need” 😁to do the Jacobite steam train Isle of sky Culloden it’s the Inverness part I’m wondering about, we don’t want to rent a car the whole other side of the road thing…. Sorry this is so long any help would greatly be appreciated

I ken ye are always looking for ideas for your videos. I suggest a walk up the Royal Mile where you meet six interesting characters:Wullie Wallace;John Knox;Oor Wullie;Pa Broon;Mary Queen of Scots;and Nicola Sturgeon.Just a wee bit o drama if ye are ok with a wee bit o drag and nae need tae shave off your beard tony.Oor Wullie:”Have ye seen my bucket?”Costume:overalls ,spiky hair wig,and tackety boots. Queen of Scots could say “i knew i would get ahead as Queen”get it? Pa Broon:”care for a granny sooker?”Sturgeon:”if ye nae for independence ye are nae a true Scot!”Wallace:”i eat Sassenachs for breakfast!”Gie it a go tony!

Hi Tony. I will be comin for a bit of a visit in August (Fringe) and stayin on the royal mile, near St. Giles. Where would I go for basic groceries? How about, a forgotten toothbrush, Ibuprofen, anything basic I forgot to pack?

Tony, do you know what the buildings are behind you, near the castle grounds entrance, at about 15:59 or so? There's a row of them, with the one nearest the street being white with reddish trim & roof. Then an orange building, and a couple more white buildings. Just residential...? Just curious, and thought if anyone knew, you would :) Thanks!

If you have the means when you go to Scotland you need to visit Stirling castle. I feel it give Edinburgh castle a run for its money.

Tony , On my list , National War Museum is free to enter? just like the National Army Museum, and the Imperial War Museum in London. Off the street and straight in, taking our time. Well I am a bit slow-witted at times but to get to the National War Museum which is advertised is free to enter, I have to enter the grounds of a Castle which I have no interest in, sorry, and pay £18 x 2 . We are up in late May 22 to see the City with my daughter. £36 can be used for something else . English language definition , “FREE” without cost or payment? Ps We normally put in a few quid in the pot when visiting free museums to help with the upkeep. Are you able to explain this anomaly please?

Hello, I wish to take issue with you about a video you made two years ago about the Cowgate. You said you had no idea who Cardinal Beaton was or where his house once stood. Shame on you. His house was where what was the infant section of St Ann’s School stands and he was ready to step in for Mary Queen of Scots, if necessary. You need to brush up on your history. Incidentally, I was born a stone’s throw from the spot. 87 years ago.
