I speak English and Spanish, but would love to learn Swahili and/or Arabic. So excited for this game, despite how complex the dice and worker color combos sounds. I also NEED to play me some more Wayfarers before this arrives on my doorstep in Bend, OR.

I'm less intimidated by this than wayfarers, although I'll be interested to watch the solo play since that'll be how I play it. Such an interesting game! As for languages I can speak, I have a native-speaking-toddler-level Spanish vocabulary. The more I considered that, the more American I felt ... I have always wanted to learn sign language.

I speak Norwegian (and obviously English as well), I took French for five years, but sadly never got proficient enough to use it, I can say couple of sentences and count, lol - I've been told my French pronounciation is good though, so I have at least that, lol. Other than that I learned to count to 10 or more in a few languages (German, Italian, Japanese and Thamil)

This looks great! It's a shame that Nick kept forgetting to take the research bump from translating, definitely lost some end game points and must have hurt his resources during the game. I'm a native English speaker, but also speak a bit of Dutch, Greek, French and German. And I learnt to read Ancient Babylonian in grad school. Having moved to the US a couple of years ago I'm planning to get started on Spanish soon!
