Pretty much what happened to thiem and del portro. Difference with kyrigos is he makes the slap look so effortless, no crazy swings just simple slap
@Thebtfgame
@Thebtfgame 6 ай бұрын
@@TuanTran-qq6zsThat's true but with Del Potro is ironic because the left wrist gave him more problems than the right one. He could readapt his game to play his hammer forehand after injury but his backhand had a big downfall after the left wrist surgery on 2014

You wonder what he could have been if he had been stronger mentally. I think the craziest thing about this is how many of these are hit with his weight on his back foot or moving backwards. Absolutely incredible to get that much pace off your back foot.

imho, Kyrgios would have been no 1 I would go for a stretch and say he would be top 10 all time Now hear me out, why I say this ? First things first, even Djokovic said something similar, but lets put that aside. Nick has pure talent and feel for the ball,space,swing,direction, pacing. His forehand for the most part is atrocious but if he worked on it... Other than that he has nuclear serve and forehand and is deadly overall because he is not bound by any "honorable" nonsense tennis has like no under arm serve and stuff like that. Nick will serve under arm, meaning you not only have to worry will he go left and right when serving, also worry about forward and backwards, also he will 2nd serve as if it was the 1st serve Plus his antics and his mind play he already showed us He would simply keep you on the edge the whole time, you would never know what to expect, will he serve super strong, should I stay back or do I come forward, what if he under arm serves ? Unpredictable, explosive, dangerous....weak minded however.

Don think so, this kind one off shot is low percetange shot.. a very difficult shot, the ones that does this that they cant withstand long rally with patient and fortitude, which one of the greats are capable of like djokovic, nadal. You cant play this kind of shot everytime, it might be look good on highlight reels but it's just a small part of tennis match.

Not all players can cope with the demand of being one of the best. Yes Kyrgios could be the "big fifth" however his goal is not to commit to the sport, and he just tries to enjoy playing. That's why he is not participating in many tournaments, as he prefers to enjoy life. Which is not bad, at least he is honest with himself.

That ATP Cup in Brisbane was the best I have ever seen Kyrgios play. The press were awful. He got them to the semis in Sydney, broke one racquet (after everyone else had broken seven) and put it on the front page of the tabloids. Nobody in Australia was ever told Kyrgios could actually play tennis.

The last one is beyond insane! You can't just produce that shot and make it look so easy... one of the 10 most naturally talented tennis players ever. Maybe top-5 or even top-3! So unbelievably gifted. Shame he didn't do much more with his career, but if he's happy with his choices, we got no say in the matter!

@@JayJay-ye7ic Have you seen him play at all? He's beaten pretty much anyone without putting in even 40% of the work they have put in. Even Safin or Nalbandian worked way harder and more professionally than Nick for some years(thus, they won more). If that's not talent-related, i don't know what is. Cheat serve, easy power from both sides, touch, athleticism, great movement (when motivated), creativity! What more do you want exactly?
@JayJay-ye7ic

@@JayJay-ye7icIf it's too much for you to believe, check out Gulbis. The dude went as far as the semi-finals at RG 2014. And all that while partying and wasting himself up every night. He said he was born in an immensely wealthy family, and he was playing tennis just for fun, thus never been serious about his training or recovery. And despite that, he managed to be ranked 10th in 2014, on his tennis talents alone. Some people are just gifted with off-the-charts raw talent, Gulbis was one of them. Same goes for Kyrgios, except he's even better.

No. What you don't realize is that every player on tour can produce these kinds of shots. But they're smart enough to realize it's not a winning strategy because tennis is about keeping a safe enough margin to be successful over many points. That's why Kyrgios doesn't win anything major and he knows deep down he can't when it comes down to more than lucky highlight reel shots.

Problem is he will disappear like Justin Brown, flashy but nothing to show for it. Nobody really remembers the finalist at one Wimbledon, & he had a walkover from Nadal in the semi’s. Certainly not a noteworthy career. He is doomed to be a highlight specialist! 😂❤

He's kinda like Nalbandian of current generation. Nalbandian didn't give a shit and was sincere about it, yet he achieved things no one ever did thanks to his talent, but ended up the least titled big talent the tennis world have seen. Now we have Kyrgios. Angry guy who always wants to prove himself, but he pretends so hard he doesn't care, very talented, but with his mindset he will end up a guy who could have won against the best, but never achieved anything significant in this sport except from Wimbledon lost final 2022 against Nole. Well, maybe he is already done, he said 1 or 2 years more and he's out. But he's pretty much already out from top tier.
