What does $30 in India get you? We were always curious as to how much things cost, like how much it is to eat food and get around. Therefore, we challenge ourselves to a $30 challenge (which is our daily budget).
To get around, New Delhi is cheap, that's if you are taking the train. So we used the train for most of our travelling as it's less than a $1 per person.
Exploring is on everyone's agenda when visiting a new place, so we explored a little of bit of New Delhi to see what it's all about. The first place we stopped at was Qutab Minar, a 400-year-old tower built by the Mughul empire. It cost us $15 to get in for 2 people (That's half our budget.). We were no longer sure if $30 was enough now for the entire day. We might have made a mistake with our budget.
We found a few free activities to do which is great when trying to keep costs down, so we headed to the Lotus Temple and also went to an old stepwell in New Delhi known as Agrasen ki Baoli. So with that costing us $0, our budget seemed to be back on track.
It was now time to find some food as a person has to eat. So we headed to a place in New Delhi called Cannaught Place. This is the shopping hub of New Delhi, so we wanted to check it out and see what food it has as we were starving. This is also an area for some good dining.
I hope our budget is enough for that.
First Impressions of India, New Delhi, India!

Before telling them to come here and there, India should think far, side, or for the long run. Because most of the tourist places had the same situation of price difference. Too difference between tickets with local and tourists. Every tourist coming here is not rich, so the India tourism sector should have some balance charges. India is growing face, so don't break that down. If India needs tourists like him, then we should respect their budgets.

27 broken temples in Qutab Minar complex were dedicated to 27 Nakshatra ( star constellations ). Qutab Minar's original name is Vishnu Stumbh. You have to see it aerially above it to understand it. Did you check Iron Pillar there ? Iron pillar has not rusted despite more than a thousand years have passed by. Invading muslims have not constructed like this afterwards, which means that the whole complex was originally Hindu one. Check details of Rani ki vaav or other " Step wells " of Gujarat state. One is at Adalaj on outskirts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Qutub Minar is much older than 800 years. Qutub Minar was originlly Hindu structure. there are defaced idols of hindu deities. also the war scenes of Hindu epic Ramayana can be seen. carvings of deities, saints, human beings are completely prohibited in Islam. they could not even destroy the original Hindu temple properly. It is a Sun Observatory that has a 25 inch tilt to observe the Dhruva Star (Pole Star) built by King Vikramaditya in 5th Century A.D. On 21st June you can not see any type of shadow from the Minar falling because of that tilt...and around the Stambha (Pillar) there were 27 Hindu + Jain constellations temples. Qutub has 27 broken temple complex as well as 2000 year old VishnuStambh Iron Pillar - which has stood the test of time and not rusted at all.

Those tombs are called "Mausoleums". Due to grave robbers, if the person was of any significance, they don't keep the body in the Mausoleum, but in a more private safe location. You don't have to mix Naan and Rice. Naan is to be used with vegetable side dish. You need to mix rice with daal (lentils) and in case you want it to make it spicy, then top the rice-daal mixture with vegetable side dish. The papad needs to be taken as a bite after one spoon of rice-daal serving.

Qutub Minar was built on a Hindu temple...you can see Hindu deities inside the columns all those pillars are of ancient Vishnu Temple. North India has withstood and resisted against a lot of Foreign invasion hence South India has comparatively less destructed temples. The theory of Aryan/Dravidian which Britishers brought up is a lie to divide United India. The DNA of every human trace in Jambudvipa/Bharatha Varsh (includes modern day Afghanistan till Combodia) was my land and proud that we belonged to sanatan Dharma. Invaders looted and brought in differences exploiting our caste system which is merely understood correctly by them. Now Ramarajya is back with a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi.

Greetings from Goa. I see all went to plan until the restaurant ... I did suspect you would go beyond the budget and so was the case :) how much time did you spend at Qutub Minar? Such places I love to spend worthwhile roughly five hours. There are much better stepwells elsewhere in India, like Rajasthan, in Jaipur (been to) and Jodhpur, and Gujarat too. But the one you guys saw in Delhi was pretty exquisite and lesser known, though I have head of. Need to go there next time, Lotus Mahal and Humayun's Tomb too. did you guys visit the Red Fort? The thing about me Delhi is mainly a transit point returning from the Himalayas in Himachal from exploratory trekking expeditions - the only time I do not travel solo, save for the time when we have that day to spare in Delhi when I do my own thing. Waiting for your Goa videos, but I suspect it would be all touristy. as a regular domestic or foreign tourist would. A traveler would go to Chandor - explore the heritage homes and sites in the erstwhile former capital of Goa, and then do some off beat travel to our lesser known Falls which are deep in our jungles and are more beautiful than a crowded and touristy Dudhsagar which is more accessible.

Great video, guys. But here are some historic facts: The so-called "Qutub Minar" was not built in 1200s, but in 4th century CE. That means those pillars you touched at 3:29 are not 800 but 1600 years old! That whole site was originally a Hindu temple complex which was destroyed by Islamic invaders. As many as 27 temples were demolished and all the Islamic architecture and carvings you see there are superimposed on the ruins of those temples. In fact the "Qutub Minar" itself is not Qutub Minar but "Dhruv Stambh" (Polar Pillar).

last year South African youtuber Rhett and Claire visited India and asked for recommendation. I suggested them to visit Ladakh. they visited and loved it. India can be so beautiful if you skip this overrated Golden Triangle which is more of a golden trap.
