It's funny how the people in the comment section have negative things to say when they're not in the field doing the work themselves

would the ground get drier to do tiling some other day ? seems like alot of extra work to do in the mud
@TheBurbankBlues6 жыл бұрын
Yes drier days is always preferred. However we were getting close to freeze up in the fall and wanted the drainage in place before spring. Made a big difference.

Interesting to see what some folk have to do around the world! First impressions apart from apparently small chain, Tire pressure far too high! That's some soil you have there

I'm not sure about Europe but any farm supplier should have it. I'm pretty sure plowing in tile like this is common in Germany

Much of my family’s farm had plastic drain tile like that installed in the 70’s. The farm was in S.E. Minnesota in which fall rains made getting the crops in quite difficult with tractors and the combine getting stuck often. There were still raised ridges in the fields after the tile was installed and one day my dad was pulling the chopper and a full wagon too fast over one and the wagon tipped over. It was quite the operation getting it emptied and upright. I was a bit young so thankfully I didn’t have to help empty the wagon.

Use a cable much safer
@markarmstrong33948 жыл бұрын
I disagree. When the cable breaks it could you in half like a knife
@duggy7887 жыл бұрын
a cable will fly when it breaks , a chain won't fly if it breaks.
@ethanutter79717 жыл бұрын
duggy788 a chain will fly with tension but if you put a rope through the chain it won't go as far

Early 70’s a neighbor was killed instantly when a big thick rope snapped trying to pull out an IH tractor backwards. The rope took the guys head off.
