I was supposed to visit there in March 2020, the trip got cancelled and I am finally heading back to Utah this year. I stumbled onto your channel with my planning. Thanks for all the hard work you and your wife do.

We visited here in 2016, It was such a gem! It's out of the way, but we did 2 hikes under the bridges, and we were the only ones on the trails. It was fantastic! Great video. Also, I love Traveling Robert as well 😀 It's also a park that is well known for its dark skies.

It doesn't seem to be a heavily visited park which is a shame. It's one of our favorites! 😄

@@CactusAtlas It's nice to know there is a place to go to escape the crowds 👍 Bears Ears is right there too! Have you been able to explore that area? I just found your channel, so I see you have lots of great content that I have to catch up on.

Welcome! 😊 As for Bears Ears... not yet. The list of places to go is long long long and time is sadly very short. One day though!

I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Your humor cracks me up and great editing! That clip near the beginning when you are underneath that thin arch blocking the sun. That was so gorgeous! I stopped here once on the way home from Lake Powell and we just stopped at the overlooks. I would love to go back! I hope Glen is feeling better! Have a great weekend!

Glad you enjoyed it! Glenn's humor definitely is more out there than mine but that's definitely what balances things I think. 😂 Thanks so much and have a great weekend as well!

My oldest daughter and I came out here this past weekend. This is a massively underrated park that doesn't appear to get a lot of visitation or attention it really deserves because 1) it's pretty remote, and 2) it gets wickedly hot in the summer. We stayed two nights, and that was perfect because we got to do Sipapu and Owachomo one day, and Kachina the next day, and took a couple of side trips in the area so we wouldn't have to sit in camp. The sites don't get much shade during the day, but the ones near the campground entrance seem to start getting shaded pretty well later in the afternoon. Also, we ended up getting a little visitor the morning we were packing up in the form of a faded midget rattlesnake in the brush by our tent pad. Fortunately, he didn't want anything more to do with us than we did with him and he took off after a little bit, but that was a good reminder that it's smart to pay attention to one's surroundings in a high desert area.

Appreciate the info about shading in the campground. Always looking for tips like that especially since camping there is still on our list. 👍 Glad that snake didn't care to bother. We actually had our first rattlesnake encounter on our last trip to Utah over east in Hovenweep. Been a long time coming! 😅

Absolutely fascinating! The fact alone that you can hike so close is incredible. Is there any evidence that you could see that would tell that there has been any that have collapsed over the millenia?
@CactusAtlas4 жыл бұрын
I did not see any evidence like that, but I also certainly did not hike the entire area extensively. Gravity and erosion will always have their way, so I am confident that there are fallen bridges out there, and would not be surprised if there are some in that canyon.

He lived a courageous and undaunted existence. The fear that destroyed the hearts of men, became his fuel and danger was something to be conquered, the places that do not forgive are littered with his foot prints as evidence that once a man who could not be frightened like a sissy La La walked these places.

@@CactusAtlas I wasn't trying to be a hater, btw, I just wanted to give ya some constructive criticism as you build your channel. I've been a subscriber since almost the beginning, I started when you had less than 100.

Oh I didn't take it that way! We've seen your name over time so we know you mean well. Constructive criticism is so rarely given on this platform as it's just so easy to click a like or dislike button and never know the reasons why. So hearing something specific is actually really helpful! 😄 That said, there is likely to be differences here and there with videos as each of us enjoy editing, learning and improving. Thanks for sticking around though. It really means a lot to us. 😊
