my first Shih Tzu, i have her on my youtube channel. i rescued her she is 16 deaf now with awful life limiting illness, but she is so strong not ready to give up with our friendship yet, i will know when its time. she is too funny. Believe me i am 72 and have had dogs all my life, but this little girl my Bella is the funniest and sweetest i have ever had. I cant believe how intelligent she is. WE found a way to communicate with each other thats the first thing we did. She is very STUBBORN, when she wants to be. Loves her walks i have friends who take her, but boy if she has had enough thats it she pulls them back home. treats i give are healthy and bella usually will eat half and hide the other in her blanket in her little bed. she loves cuddles then again she also likes her own space. I will be very upset when i loose her soon, but she has been a joy to own. They dont ask much just love and care. thanks for your videos as they do help. understanding their needs does help.

I have my 3rd WONDERFUL SHIH TZU. I found an awesome Breeder over a year ago, had the pick of the litter and picked her out when she was 5 weeks old. I then got her at 10 weeks old. I can't tell you what a wonderful day that was, we bonded almost immediately during my 2 hour drive home. Four years ago, and Five years ago I had to send my first two fur babies to doggie heaven. That hurt me and missed them 💔 so much. My new little Daisie is now 14 1/2 months old, and what a JOY IN MY LIFE SHE IS. I'm 76 yrs. old and I take her with me almost every where. I am considering getting another Shih Tzu puppy 🐶 so my Daisie will have a playmate. Yes a puppy is a lot of attention and work, but they are well worth it. Shih Tzu's are a very smart breed and can be a little stubborn sometimes, but with consistent training they learn quick. Give them lots of love ❤️, and they will give love back twice or more back to you. I recommend if you can, find another Shih Tzu for your Love Companion ❤️.

I am a 76 year old man and got my first Shih Tzu 19 years ago. I had various dogs pretty much all my whole life including when I was a child. After getting the first one she was a rescue dog, I had not been around the Shih Tzu breed before. I immediately fell in love with this wonderful dog, even with her problems of being a rescue dog. After the first year I found a Shih Tzu puppy so my first had a playmate when we had to leave for a short time. I did know what a wonderful loving loyal companion little dog they are. I took them with me almost everywhere I would go. I fell head over heels with Love with my 2 girls. They would race each other for my lap when I was in my truck. I LOVED MY LITTLE GIRLS. Sadly I lost my first one when she was 14 with severe spine issues. Then a year later I lost my ( I called her my little one) to cancer. Then 14 months ago I found a tremendous Breeder, and got my new baby at 10 weeks old. My little Daisie is a bit older than a year, and I have realized what I missed not having a Shih Tzu. My opinion is they are the best little companion dog you could have.

I had a shih tzu for around 14 years. She was so smart! She could not be locked up in small rooms such as bathroom. She tried to chew the door down. Lol... I never locked her in bathroom again.

Great video. My sheet zoo Boo passed away at the age of 18 in April. I still miss him. Even my routines that included walks cookies and going outside for the last sniff of the day are still part of my thoughts. 🐶

Maybe its the fact that my dog is a male, Shorkie (Shih Tzu / Yorkie), but when I raise my voice, he tends to get the zoomies, and when he's alone from 5am to 1pm, he uses his training pad and destroys about 1 stuffed chew toy a week, and needs 3 good brushes a week, cause he tends to mat easily cause of the Yorkie curls 😏

My shih tzu is 2 months old now❤ and her name is "oreo". Our family love her so much, we play with her and we take her for regular checkups and we give her a suggested syrups to stay strong and we make her to eat only dog food and we never leave her alone. But still, the problem is her biting. She use to bite our hand, no matter however we try to make her understand and our all tricks are end now, but don't know how to teach her to not to bite our hands.

I wonder 🤔 where those " avoid punishment training methods" argument comes from. Like any other mammals, moms bite and repreend their pups when needed to. It is this that teach them not to bite too strong for example. A good No and a hand bite on pups back (without hurting) is extremely effective with no sacrifice to bond or health.

First, make sure it’s not health related. I’ll advise you check with a vet to be sure. Then, start slowly, but try your best to do something mentally stimulating with your pup everyday. Toys, games your pup shows interest in, try it all. Take your pup out too, for walks, even if it’s just 30 minutes everyday. And lastly, socialize with other dogs. Hope this helps!

They’re different with their own preferences, so what one loves to eat, another might hate. Try different ones until you find the one your dog really loves. I’d suggest the Ollie Fresh Dog Food though.
