I can't be bothered reading if anyone else said this but in that double gazelle hand you could've gone: Weasel -> 2nd Bale Trigger Weasel, SS Gazelle Miraj + 1st Bale -> Swolf Trigger Miraj, bounce Gazelle Swolf + 2nd Bale -> Heatleo Trigger Gazelle in hand, SS Heatleo + Gazelle -> R/Phoenix This means that Gazelle is a 1 card Link-4 + Trap with 5 or 6 in hand. P.s. you can still get the Swolf add I just cbf explaining it rn

yeah a lot of people are dissing branded but now that branded is almost guaranteed a grave and they got herald of orange light back at 3 as long as you get what you need to play without branded fusion your grave will carry you dramaturge and ad libitum both give you insane value through droll and ash and with chimera and tearlament variants you have no shortage of cards that allow the deck to be 1 of the best tier 1 decks in the format and people may not agree with me but the only reason why people can't easily find more room for more than 9 hand traps/ board breakers is because people don't want to test how much they can chop of and still be consistent when I made it I found room for 15 hand traps/ board breakers and the reason why I was able to achieve that was I kept in mind that the extra deck is a resource and that if branded fusion was to go through it was a card that could give me as many as 3 fusion monsters per activation depending on how you build the deck I also didn't use cards like nadir servant I used the bare minimum the deck can play as many as 15 hand traps/ board breakers if your willing to let go of what branded used to be and put performance before feeling and know it's possible for branded to be consistent with only a few cards especially since arise-heart is banned and we'll be seeing a lot less agony from dimension shifter there is nothing wrong with people building decks but people would love it if people gave a more honest answer about decks like branded speaking of which 3 salamangreat of fire, 3 gazelle, 3 circle, and 3 cynet mining sounds this level of consistency could just as easily be found in branded and you can search cards off your extra deck monsters and as a result the false statement that branded doesn't have enough space is a lie from people who want to remain a pure consistency wombo combo deck that is all about raw power and consistency at the price of not having as much deck space for hand traps and board breakers as any other deck tier 1 deck before and post ban list

I'm curious if Link Bound would be a good addition. Salamangreat wants to end up with high level link monsters in the GY, the ability to send it from GY back to the extra deck to draw equal to link rating and put that many cards from hand to bottom of deck (as a quick effect, so once on your turn and once to start your opponent's turn to add handtraps) seems like it would fit this deck like hand in glove.

With how powerful nibiru is going to be this format against I would suggest making room for crossout designator it can stop nibiru or just other handtraps like ash or imperm which although this deck can play around potentially could save some hands/scenarios. Nibiru is going to be good not only against salad (which will obviously be popular) but also against unchained and other combo decks as well.

salad can play around nibiru rn, if you play wheesel and/or salamangreat will. also, salad play gozen/rivalry in his side deck, that is better to have in and than crossout, because if your opponent summon nibiru and you flip rivalry, he litterally loses. also all salad combos are like 1/2 card combos, if you start with only salad of fire you lit trade 1 card for 1 card and you still have 4 ht/floodgate in your hand.

@malaga6601 in a game 1 scenario you won't typically have Gozen or rivalry to make your opponents auto lose to nibiru. Also yes will and weasel kinda help with nibiru but if the opponent is smart they will just wait till the right moment to drop nib and then weasel and will don't do THAT much. Also crossout helps if you lose the die roll because the deck hard loses to books unless they open will or cynet mining.
