kinda sad Red Eyes Darkness is banned in ocg and likely will also go in tcg. hes the most op card in a blue eyes guardragon deck. i mean you can sometimes revive a white stone 3 times with him and then go into daryuja shuffle all 3 blue eyes back and get +4 from saryuja

They should have been restricted to only summon guardragons out of the deck etc. Or just make an errata for REDMD to only special summon Red Eyes monsters. But banning this card is just so unluckily.

I bet they will errata him anyway with a hard once per turn and then he will be unbanned again. Making him more useless in guadragon but bringing him back to red eyes. I dont think a normal red eyes devk without gurdragon uses him more than once per turn

I run a fairly similar deck, however I find the dark matter gets outed pretty quickly. Especially if my opponent activates a quick effect chained to the summon. It causes dark matter to miss the timing. Any suggestions?

How so? Ultimate Conductor pops a dino and puts everything facedown, Calamities can change their type so their effects are negated then pop for a True King, or Dogoran can tribute Colossus so it can search again so there are ways it can get around Thunder Dragons

@@dovaballxvyt707 maybe true but you forget that thunder dragon can bust out two colossous in one turn. So a kaiju wont free you up to search. Plus link monsters cant be flipped down so conductor isnt as deadly as before. Plus you can fuse facedown cards. Or instant fusion out a restrict monster to stop condoductor or flat out bait him out to use his effect. Also with levaneer can just pop two of your dinos while triggering your thunder drags. They have a lot of outs and true king dinos hands are very limited and not as fast paced or consistent enough to every game bust out a dig board. I run the deck and play test all my decks against each other. The only way true dinos to win would be if they go first and win game one and if you dont dead draw game three and lock out your opponent then your good but if you dead draw then your screwed. And true dinos do dead draw a good number of times where as thunder dragons remain constantly consistent which is why they are still on top.

Actually TJ would have won game two if he had used reclusia to make sunlight wolf, specialed spinny under it, added ash blossom, then made a second wolf to added rage. Then he could follow up with with the jag to make heat leo, and reincarnated to attack over the dragon. That burns the dragon Lord's and he ends with 3 disruptions after he sets the roar from it's own effect.

Then even if you wanted to make sure it DMD wouldn't be used you could activate rage in standby phase to destroy it. You would still have roar and ash for two negates on that turn.

No offence or malice intended but it seems TJ isnt completely versed in salamangreat as he shouldnt be loosing this matchup. Im not going to get into "he should have done this or that" specifically because its a pointless argument but in general the deck has so many outs to pretty much everything it shouldnt be loosing 2 0 to blue eyes. Just to point out, lets be honest, blue eyes is a 1 hitter quitter deck which can beat anyone in 1 game, but it isnt good enough or consistant enough to be even tier 2 What i will say is, the actual video quality, graphics and in general the content is on point and i look forward to the next video

Called By the Grave (avoidable if the Blue-Eyes player revives Goliath via Red-Eyes/Levianeer or controlling a negate like Abyss/Hope Harbinger) and negging themself with Rage are literally their only outs to Goliath going 2nd, and they struggle getting over Phantazmay because their monsters in general are weak trash. Let's be honest, they aren't unbeatable, and Blue-Eyes can easily 2 - 0 them again.

@@Goblin_Hands i didnt say they are unbeatable, i use them, i know how much a big monster like blue eyes or even phantazmay can be a problem. But there are plenty of outs to big cards, most notably bouncing it with the xyz or if its untargetable stealing it and even another monter with borreload. I also didnt say blue eyes cant 2 0 you, i said it shouldnt. I used to run mermail OTK and i could 2 0 in a match in under 5 minutes. If i try it now 95% of the time i wont be able to, but hey that 5% feels great My point is, without getting into the nitty gritty analysis of each play, (mainly because with the amount of decision trees in the deck its pointless) that salads should be able to deal with a deck like blue eyes better, and i know it can. I mean at a push, game 1 drop a bagooska instead of a dweller and its yours as far as im aware? @@thomashenley3890 Their outs are locked in the extra deck if Goliath is on board, unless they have Infinite Impermanence (which could be stopped if Hot Red/King Dragun is on field). As for Bagooska, it wouldn't negate the cost of Dark Matter to send monsters to the GY, and then if they are Guardragons/Destrudo, they could revive them and perform the Guardragon combo (do another Dark Matter to send Amorpages, etc) and then summon something like Borreload to attack over Bagooska. Now if you have Rage, good for you, but they might have extenders in their hand as well, plus a potential Goliath coming up. Not to mention Return of the Dragon Lords! Huah hahaha! Either way, it's not clear cut, if Blue-Eyes go first and have access to two level 8's, well, that's pretty much GG unless you handtrap something via Crow/Ashe/Vieler. If Salamangreats go first, well hopefully Blue-Eyes can get over a well-timed Rage and Bagooska. Pendulums also summon Goliath, which also destroys Salamangreats. Salamangreats aren't some Tier 0 deck that can't be touched, they just have great consistency and recursion.

Im not sure if its nostalgia goggles or anime bias thats making you argue with so many "if i did this" and "if you DIDNT have that" You literally just said "if you're luck enough to have rage" when its a trap i can tutor into the grave, wave it in your face and set it that very turn. "If no handtraps" salads have the benefit of popping off with very few cards and play nice will handtraps, the chance of you going through a board without hitting a rage/roar, a called by the grave, and atleast 1 handtrap are low lets be honest. I tried to say, lets not start with the whole analyzing literally every play in that 1 game, because its pointless. Blue eyes won, and i believe i said its clear they cause salads a problem more than allot of decks do, and on a good day they can beat litetally anything they want to so please stop acting like im bashing them What i will say is, for a deck to be meta/top tier, it needs to have recovery, power, removal, outs to difficult monsters and consistancy. Salads have all of this, some of them in abundance. Like it or not theres no arguing with the fact they are top tier, and blue eyes just arent anymore

@@Goblin_Hands I understand both points as to where blue eyes cards are the main central build in the deck. However, my complaint was that there was nothing different. It was just guardragons doing their own thing, make a big board with one two negates or a big tower. The same can be said for dangers and phantom knight engines that can be implemented into almost any archetype and make that deck thrive. I know this is 2019 yugioh and the only variety we're going to get is what we see in the video when combining engines and archetypes, and that' great. Innovative builds like this one are always something to smile upon. But if Konami would manipulate the game to have more variety in the current meta, Yugioh would be a better card game.

I agree that this current meta is great as well, as the prominence of FTKs have diminished.
