To add to the problem with penalizing players for leaving early, if you have bad internet and experience a loss of connection to the server that boots you out of the match, the game might think you left voluntarily and still penalize you for it. That certainly happens in War Thunder, which has such a system. So many times, I’ve lost connection to the server and been removed from a match, only to have to wait up to 7 or 8 minutes (though it’s more often 3 or 4) to be able to use most of the vehicles I brought into the match. When you leave a War Thunder match early, it locks your crew slots based on certain criteria so if you enter another match right away, you cannot use the vehicles in those crew slots. The amount of time you have to wait depends largely on how early in the match you leave.
