Thanks for the information. My fitness coach is in her internship as a budding chiropractor. 😅 I'm having a great experience seeing her in the clinic. I walked in with a sore neck, shoulders and lots of muscle knots. The neck and shoulder pain is gone but the knots are still there after deep tissue massage therapy, heat so we're going to do ex rays soon. We only agreed to deep tissue massage therapy I couldn't do all that other stuff I see chiropractors do on KZbin. 😮😱 I'm having a great experience at the clinic and it's a very low price. 😅❤

I appreciate this video. It's been 2 years since I've been strongly considering and looking for a career change. With all that's going on in schools and education, teaching has been wearing me down terribly. As I sit here I am updating my resume. Whatever I switch to will most likely be in science or the medical field. Like you, I started off in pre-med then medical technology then ended up teaching chemistry. Lol. Interestingly enough one of my colleagues was a practicing Chiro as recent as 4 years ago but she felt like it was too much of a challenge for her. Very insightful video.

Retired optometrist here---Optometry, Chiropractic and most Ph.D. programs are no longer worth the finances , pain, sweat & tears. -- add up 4 years of tuition, housing costs & No Income-- Meanwhile, your undergrad buddies bought homes, lived better and do not have the additional 4 years of expenses.

How did you keep up with your individual reading? If you did group study at the library after classes, did you do your reading before your sessions? How did you find time to exercise? Can you tell me what your fitness regime looked like? I cannot wait to be "a doctor who practices chiropractic."

there's no individual reading. Group study is faster. Exercise at 6-7 am. At that time all I did was run for 30 minutes, weights for 30 minutes. I didn't ride much other than once in a while for fun.

Did you attempt to apply to med school? I don't know if it's a myth, but I've heard pre-meds who can't get into med school go to chiro school. Much lower admissions requirements.

They go to osteopathic school. If you want to be a doctor that gives drugs and does surgery, you're going to be very disappointed as a chiropractor. If you want to use natural methods and physical means to improve a person's health, then go to chiropractic college. The two professions treat the same patients, but in much different ways.

@@AdamJStoryDC nah, peopel that can't get into med school go to the carribean med schools. they'll just about accept anybody. osteopathic schools still have acceptance rates around 5 percent on average. easier than allopathic schools but still med school at the end of the day

I am 48 and in recovery from mental illness. I am back at university. I am switching from Arts to Sciences to complete my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. Then, I will apply for chiropractic school. I am becoming a chiropractor because of my own.

I've been out for over 28 years. Not sure what students are doing now. You'd have to call the school.
