Wave breakers and bars are a must we go out Noosa bar nice when a wave decides to slurp up the cabin and screen . Nothing worse than getting wet first thing in the early morning

I never understood wave breakers unless you are a pro fisherman. If it's so rough or the bar is ify 🤔 just stay home 😅

Wave breakers have been around for a long time. They were mainly used for rescue boats. Check out some of the old episodes of bay watch. The runabout models really benefit from a wave breaker like the 17r and the 16r as the standard windscreens are way too low with the top being around the waist. Some of the benefits of running a breaker: - no rattles - super strong and can be used as grab rails - can attach outriggers and sounders to it - less sun damage to electronics - if you do stuff the nose into a green wave, you are less likely to have a windscreen on your lap and hundreds of liters of water in the boat.

Way more practical dude. Mounting electronics, grab rails, anything else. Way dryer with a deflection lip. Way stronger than a windscreen also. Basically the only thing you lose is the see through aspect. seen as though a 17 is a small boat i utilise eskies for seats anyway so on the move you are standing. Saves heaps of space and way better for fishing and diving

Those thinking 70k is a lot know absolutely nothing about boat refurbs and fitout...personally though I would have went with 150hp

The whole boat pricing industry has been absolutely crazy since covid and hasn't come back down, and probably won't. But then again compare, well over 200k for a new basic packaged 6mtr vessel that is pretty much a replication of a V19r, yes the new ones have an exceptional unmatched build quality along with a few more added tricks but that's an additional 130k+. If it suits your needs, and one can afford it why not, life is too short, 70k is nothing on a good glass boat, looks like he's having a great time driving that thing and loves it.
