After 10 minutes of trying unsuccessfully to remove the battery side cover using Volvo's inept "instructions" in the manual I found your clear video and immediately got the cover off. They left out an important step which is obvious when you see how it is actually done. It is ridiculous that a major vendor is too lazy to actually verify that their instructions work. Instead they waste thousands of customer's time each one trying to figure out how to do a simple routine maintenance task on their car. Thank you for taking the time to explain this properly and to KZbin for making free access to volunteer expertise to make our lives easier.

I'm really not sure to be hinest, from memory the insides are held together with a plastic frame and I don't know if that opens, sorry
@hatbabe2 жыл бұрын
CR2032 is a 3V battery, so 'down to 3.07V' seems a strange comment (unless it's a typo). I wonder if the keys sit kind of in range of the vehicle during the day, if that'll cause the battery to run down quickly though.
@alg70962 жыл бұрын
@@hatbabe the keys have sat in the same spots and so have both cars since the day we bought them in 2016 and never had any issues. Get a multimeter and test the battery and you will get 3.3volts if it is new. May seem like a strange comment to you but not a typo just a fact. Try it and see for yourself. You could do the same thing for a 12-volt car battery and youll probably find this comment very strange as well but it will read more than 12 volts when tested!!!
