4:08 pro tip: when you collapse the cup holders it fits a standard 4-cup drive through/take out drink holder.
@enfusraye10 ай бұрын
You can also close the entire cubby and a standard drink carrier fits on top

This test recently came out most suvs in this segment flunked this rear passenger test including honda pilot. For me installing car seats for children will solve the problem.

Getting my palisade soon!! Thank you for all your help!!
@user-zk6ps5wx4s6 ай бұрын
I recently bought a 2022 palisade. Overall I am enjoying the vehicle. It fits my 3 kids well (even though I wish the 3rd row tethers were better thought out.). A couple things, there is no interior light in the third row. So while my kids are getting use to shoulder belts in their high back boosters that is making it a little more of a struggle. Also, I haven’t found a way to lock the rear windows without engaging the child safety locks on the back doors. It seems the same button controls both 🤔. Otherwise all the features are easy to use, I love the angle of the dash, and the display which shows who has a seatbelt on in the back and who doesn’t. The hands free tail gate and heater steering wheel are wonderful! Also, the cup holders in center console collapse so large water bottles will fit ❤

Love the review. It will be great if you can also include a review of Sound System in your videos. For example - the 2023 minivan we bought does not have a good sound quality in comparison to Kia Carnival. If we had tested(which we will next time for sure), it would have changed our decision. As a family car, I think having a good sound system add a great value

I have a 2021 Palisade that we purchased brand new, and while I do wish it had some of the features that come with the 2023 model (rear camera, massaging seats), I’m still just as obsessed with it, now, as I was when we bought it two and a half years ago. I’m a total convert, and I really don’t think I’ll ever drive anything else again!

how is the reliability after 2 years of ownership? Have you had any major issues with the car? I shopping for a 3-row SUV and the Palisade is in my short list.
@laurenammond69805 ай бұрын
@@dcrteddy Honestly, it’s been a dream! We’ve taken it in for some recalls but not for anything that we would have noticed. Otherwise, normal routine maintenance has kept it running perfectly. I’m absolutely thrilled with it.

@@laurenammond6980 thats great. Thanks for the insight. We are considering the Palisade, Pilot and Grand Highlander. We probably will buy whichever that is not absurdly marked up haha

I really wish they'd put in a three place middle row as an option in this trim. Especially if the middle seat was removable like in the Pilot's top trims. Two doesn't work as well for my family but outside of that there is so much to love about the car.

Great test review. I do not like the bucket seats in the middle row and the bench is. We put our dog in the middle row and like and a lot of times take 3 people so we fold the third row for luggage.

What SUV would you recommend for parents of special needs children? I have 3 kids, my youngest is special needs, she has cerebral palsy and is about to get a wheel chair. This is all new to me. I've been researching but haven't found many resources in what vehicle would be best for my family's needs.

I have a 2024 Palisade, and a child that uses a Convaid stroller style wheel chair. To accommodate his chair I must have one of the third row seats folded down. The best vehicle for me (I also have three children) has been the Honda Odyssey. Two of my children are now out of the house, so I was able to finally get out of my minivan. But, I didn’t hate my vans. I was just ready for something different. I absolutely love my Palisade. It’s comfortable, lots of great tech, and has been reliable so far.
@almassengale9 ай бұрын
It sounds to me like a minivan would be best for that scenario.

I'd nominate the new Grand Highlander or maybe the new Traverse. Unfortunately neither of those are available just yet. Maybe the 2023 Pilot, though it scored poor in the IIHS tests mentioned during the review.

6:19 I’m always amazed by her height. This SUV is 5’9” tall and she’s like 3 inches taller than it. 😮 😂
@AbcDef-go8ds10 ай бұрын
I doubt the third row legroom for Palisade is the best in class. The trick is that they elevated the floor a bit higher, so that your knees are bent more than other vehicles. This doesn't really make the travel comfortable, especially for someone with a big tummy. I will need a true third row legroom. Less than 32 inches is nowhere near "best in class".
@brokeboy8710 ай бұрын
The only thing that beats this in the 3rd in this segment is the Chevy Traverse and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
@lecookie0078 ай бұрын
Probably the most legroom overall in the midsize SUV category, aside from the Telluride. Front and middle seats can sit up more to give even more room in the third.
