Thanks for taking us along to another state fair. The rain really held the crowds down. At least they had many indoor displays and tented events for people to see. Before you bought your tickets for the midway rides they should have posted a sign saying some rides would either not be open or have limited operation due to the weather.

Inwas wondering how they grew myself. We never learned growing uo except some people on a farm grew them. That was it. I got tongo tona dairy farm as a kid once on a feild trip.

I miss going to the State Fair of Virginia! I am orginally from Virginia and my family always went to this fair every year! 2010 was my last year at this fair! I moved to South Carolina back in 2011! This fair orginally was in Richmond, Virginia at the Richmond Raceway Racetrack before they moved to where they are located now which is just miles down the road from Kings Dominion! I am getting home sickness by watching this video! Thank you for showing my home state’s fair! One of these years I hope to make a trip up to this fair again! Thank you so much Jacob!

Very nice relaxed vibe to this fair, especially for opening day. I'm fairly certain that all the rain is the aftermath of the hurricane that us here in Florida. We had it easy, our power didn't go out. Relived to know that Miss Jenn and everyone at home is okay. I worry about you.

Here is information on the Spotted Lanternfly (this is the reason people are told to stomp on them) The Spotted lanternfly is an invasive planthopper that feeds on a wide range of plants, including grapes, hops, stone fruits, and hardwood trees. When the spotted lanternfly feeds, it excretes a sticky, sugary fluid that causes sooty mold, which can further damage plants. Its preferred host is tree of heaven and today 17 States have some degree of infestation.

I grew up with Rosaire's Royal Racers! They're family with Kay at Big Cat Habitat here in my hometown in Florida! The woman who did the announcing is only a few years older than myself and I watched over the years her and her dad do the announcing together until she finally took over and does it full time now. Its her, her brother and her dad that travel! They're great people with a great show! Love the racing pigs and Tyrone the Terrible!!! Lol

Most people in VA are very nice. I grew up going to Kings Dominion since I was a toddler. Went well into my teens. One year we ventured to Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ. Workers and ride operators were not as welcoming/friendly. Let's just say I haven't been to NJ in years.

I thought that peanuts, being legumes, did have the seed at the part you eat, but I thought they just spawned under the ground after the plant was fertilized. To see that it actually takes a part of itself and spears right into the ground in order to properly form the seeds... What an amazing plant! It's true, you learn something new every day!

I thought of you today and the videos you’ve made of the places here in NC that have been devastated by flooding. My daughter still loves watching your videos off and on, asking for you by name. I was planning a trip next year to Chimney Rock to surprise the kids. My heart goes out to that community and I have donated and shared orgs elsewhere to help them during this. Thank you for documenting what once was so at least my kids can see it secondhand. May that community and the surrounding areas receive all the support and resources necessary to rebuild their lives.

I would’ve told the confederate guy to go get a cop. I’m sure the cop would inform him that it is absolutely not against the law to film anything in public places. If it was against the law, everyone else you filmed would’ve said something. Seems the confederate guy believes the first amendment to the U.S. constitution only applies to him and not to you. I traveled as a Concessionaire with a Carnival from childhood til adulthood. My parents owned Concession stands. The reason for having a certain number with us wasn't balance but it was fuel. Some electric but others were a gas engine still. You can't afford to run them for 1 person too many times. This was my experience at least....
