I think the point of Alya renouncing isn’t to say that Cat is the only partner LB needs but more Alya doesn’t need a miraculous to be LB’s confidant. Adrien is very much tied to the miraculous so he can be her partner for missions while Alya can be there for behind the scenes awesomeness. I very much think that part of next season will be about the other holders proving why they were a good choice even outside of costume who knows that could also be part of LB and CN’s arc.

I go in the opposite direction. That Ladybug has outgrown the need for Noir as he provides nothing new either in terms of combat or moral support. (How many Akuma have been beaten without him being there or being controlled by the villian forcing ladybug to fight them both? Possession count: 9. Not being there: 6.) And the counter to that is Kuro Neko but the problem with that is that Ladybug couldn't focus due to fixating on Walker. It was not her lack of ability but distraction that forced Walker to be useful... not Adrien's inherent competency

@@nkohler5601 i think you've missed a point. Ladybug can't defeat and captures akumas on her own. In ephemeral you saw how many heroes she needed because cat noir wasn't there. However, ever since cat blanc happened she's been traumatizing about the fact that cat noir could be akumatized. Its one of her worst fears and in a way she's been trying to rely on other and side line cat noir. Its not that he's not useful, she's subconsciously trying to replace him with others so that if he were to ever get akumatized she'd be able to take him down with the help of others. At the end of this season we see ladybug cry and confess that she's been lying to him, sidelining him, etc. No one can blame her for being scared but she should've been honest about what happened with cat blanc. Season 5 will be the rekindling of their team work and trust because theres literally no one else they can rely on. Ik hawkmoth won but in a way he's set them on a path to victory. Also I didn't really like kuro neko because it wasn't that she went back to cat noir because she realized how much she needed him, it was just that she couldn't work with catwalker because SHE was attracted to him. Cat walker was actually really great but as usual the whole world revolves around ladybug. Honestly ladybug is one of my least favorite characters in the show and watching her fail at the end was very satisfying. She really needed to fail for her character development or else cat noir would've left her or worse joined hawkmoth if adrien found out his father is hawkmoth.

@@Minnie123.__. her fears about Blanc would be valid... if she had anything to fear. Blanc has only been referenced 2x. One was a fever dream where Marrinette somehow though Alya would like Chloe of all people. Mr Pigeon has been referenced more often then the white cat Also I know that people say it was one of the hardest fights in show but it really wasn't. She was literally ripping Blanc outfit apart around him to find the Akuma and even with a power boost he was unable to lay a claw on her. She didn't even need her lucky charm to beat Blanc. Marrinette doesn't even mention Blanca to Tikki. The kwami that was there with her to whom Marrinette would have no need lie to or pretend that she wasn't effected by the incident. Blanc was just another passing Akuma. Beaten and forgotten before the next sunrise. And to her confession, that was her being upset over making a mistake with Felix, not her treatment of Noir.

I totally agree that defeating him was not that hard for ladybug BUT the fact that cat noir gets akumatized is what traumatized her. She trusted him more than anything. They have blind faith in one another (literally they don't even know each other's identities) and they trust each other with their lives. I think the thought of cat noir being akumatized probably never even crossed ladybug's mind before. Broken trust is a lot harder to heal than a broken bone. She was physically fine but internally she was shattered and that why at the end of cat blanc she called cat noir to the meet and was relieved to see him as cat noir. Also her confession at the end was definitely towards her treatment of cat noir. She says "even though you tried to help, I pushed you away". She acknowledges that she's been distancing herself from him. Of course she messed up with Felix but that moment was her reflecting on all her mistakes and realizing that cat noir is still there for her. Trust is something very hard to regain once broken. The only way to move forward is for her to come clean about the incident (even if it ended up being a "what if"episode). Season 5 will just be the duo fighting once again so its already set up in a way for them to sort everything out. She won't be able to push him away anymore because he's all she has now.

The anxiety attack scene was so well done. Having been on both sides of it, I understand it. It was beautifully executed, it honestly made me cry for them. If you've never had or witnessed one, it gives you an idea how traumatizing they can be. Everything stops and you can only think about what went wrong and no matter who is in front of you, it can be hard to break out of it. Cuddos to the writers.

Yeah, I totally agree panic attacks are the worst especially when you can barely breathe, I'm glad they showed her having a panic attack, also by her having that are losing the miraculous it was the wake up call she needed to finally realise what she had been doing wrong all this time, I'm not hating on Marinette btw I love her I just feel she needed something big to happen for her to finally realise her mistakes and how awful she had treated Chat throughout the season

Something i noticed that i thought was a lil funny in the last scene is how Shadow Moth used the turtle miraculous’ shelter for his butterfly head thingy💀 Because in the origins Ladybug deakumatized them and basically humiliated him💀👏🏻

It is too early to say the love square has reversed. The show has a tendency to undo any relationship progression it has made. I remember your Glaciaor 2.0 review and you said that was the turning point only for nothing to happen. So I will not believe it until I see it in season 5

But actually, I don't think it is. Especially if you read the leaked title names of all the episodes there is one hundred percent a reveal happening towards the middle of it all and that gives us a little time to appreciate Ladybug possibly feeling confused about her feelings and possibly that stupid word twisty thing of hers to show up for chat noir instead. It also gives the audience a chance to see her develop those feelings fully and then the reveal and then the whole ephemeral episode isn't so much a risk anymore since she'll love both sides of Adrien. But hey, you could also be right and I could be wrong. I guess we will have to wait and see to believe it, just like you said.

I know a lot of people didn't like the fact that Lila was pretty much absent in this episode but I find it strangely relieving. There was already so much going on, I don't think I would have been able to handle it if sausage hair decided to meddle too. I think that it's good they didn't include here here, for me it would feel very forced because including all that in 20 minutes? Nuh uh. But I definitely want her to be more present in season 5.

this finale was hands down the best finale and even the best episode of the show. Especially that last scene. I can completely related to LB because I love to control things myself. I hate when I can't control a situation. She even realised that she pushed him away unnecessarily and kind of apologised for that. Someone give both my babies a hug. Anyone who STILL wants to hate on either of them has to GET THROUGH ME. These two care so much about each other rather than themselves I can't even. These two deserve the entire world.

I feel like what might happen is similar to what "The Wall Between Us" song describes as in both will feel conflicted about loving 2 boys/ girls. A complete reverse love square to me kind of erases all the development their other sides have built up eg Mairnette's confession and Chat Noir showing his Adrien side more. I'm not against it but it kinda wouldn't further their development imo, great video again btw!

That’s essentially why I said the love square has sort of dissolved or it’s close to dissolving completely. A full reversal, I agree, wouldn’t make sense character wise because they should still feel conflicted about their feelings. Once the reveal happens, the square will dissolve

Putting everything aside, Felix is a pretty cool character. His role in season 4 was very cool. Even tho I kinda hate him, we definitely needed a change. Because it’s the last seasons never showed any type of “risk” I guess. So this is a great season.

Tbh, Hawkmoth winning is sooo refreshing and exciting! I've been extremely annoyed with how many heroes were recruited to the point where Chat Noir was no longer needed and treated like a side character. Now that Gabriel has all the Miraculouses (except for the two he actually wants), the roles have reversed and he can actually use them to his benefit. It would be really cool to see the Parisians be divided and some would still have faith in their heroes and others are afraid and want Ladybug and Chat Noir to give up their Miraculouses so that Hawk Moth can stop terrorising them. The opportunity to enhance the conflict between the two sides is too great now and I hope the plot develops further!

This season 4 finale has to be my absolute favorite of all finales. It has all I can ever wish for: plot progression, twists, character progression, emotions, and a captivating cliffhanger. I think the only downside of the finale had to be Lila’s appearance. It felt like she barely impacted or participated in the finale at all! Maybe part 1, but she was really more an obstacle than a character with her own goal. Then again, she barely showed up in the season at all, and only felt like she was there to exist and be an antagonist. Really annoying honestly. But YES! Yes, this was exactly what I was thinking! I knew that once Gabriel would get both the Fox and the Bee Miraculous, those two girls are going to possibly get it! There’s already been a set-up (too far apart) that they would be working with Hawk Moth, and I hope that this plays out in season 5, just to at least show them actually be agents of Hawk Moth for once. Also, did you know there was not just a rain symbolism, but also a purple sky symbolism in that scene? There is a symbolism for it, Melody from your Discord server actually said (well showed from an image) that purple sky means a phenomenon which often precedes or follows by a major typhoon or hurricane, and it looks season 5 is going to be a hurricane, like Hawk Moth now that he has almost all of the Miraculous and can do whatever he wants now against the heroes. But a hurricane also symbolizes new beginnings, and we are going to enter a Ladynoir Duo 2.0. Can’t wait for more of your videos on season 4, and hope we get to discuss theories for season 5 as well.

1) could probably call the "eye-thingy" a fingerprint analyzer since thats what it did and show Felix where fingerprints were on the painting and in the basement 2) one thing is for sure Cat Noir by saying he wouldnt get akumatized needs to know that in an alternate timeline that he did and have Ladybug say that she doesnt know exactly what led to it other than Cat Blanc saying "it was their love" 3) only problem saying that the Love Square has dissolved is that I dont think we have seen the clap of thunder to signify that Adrien has finally admitted to himself that he is in love with Marinette to lead into the reveal (even though we have seen that he doesnt need to think about it once he knows it would still be nice to have that moment where he realizes he actually has feelings for her) could be played well in Season 5 as well where Marinette admits that she is in love with both Adrien and Cat Noir and has an internal struggle of who she likes more while getting the Miraculouses back from Hawk Moth.

For no. 3 I agree. I don't think the love square has fully dissolved yet until Adrien admits that he has feelings for Marinette or something along those lines in their civilian form. I can totally see Marinette having an internal struggle when it comes to having two love interests

I can also see where for their emotional romantic struggles being reflected in their combat as superheroes and even their dynamic. One thing that I think is the reveal might play a role in them defeating Hawk Moth. As things become more dangerous in the series for example maybe one of them being in danger and possibly being greatly delayed to arrive to battle scene or something. Or them needed to share more information to support and protect each other that they can't share. I can also see Alya possibly suggesting it to Marinette as an option as it was suggested before. Also, if we think about all the reveals, they had a bad ending because it wasn't the right time for them to reveal themselves and that's due to the circumstances I believe. In Chat Blanc, Marinette wasn't ready to or had any intention of revealing her true identity but when Adrien finds out, he keeps his secret, until she's in danger. In Ephemeral, we see that she had orchestrated the whole "identity reveal" only for Luca to know Chat Noir's identity. She had no intention of knowing his identity but made it look as though she was willing to reveal hers. In this one we also sees what happens when only Marinette finds out her partner's identity. But there wasn't any willingness on her end. The circumstances in the reveal I believe is where both are ready and willing to reveal their identities with each other. BOTH are ready to give consent and are aware of what will need to take place after they know. In Chat Blanc and Ephemeral the reveal wasn't planned. In the sense of planned where they will remain knowing the other's identity. Oblivio is a perfect example in what I'm referring to. There we saw that they both gave consent by showing each other the pictures they have of each other on their phones and from openly sharing with each, grew to love, trust and work together even better than before. the other thing in Oblivio is that this also wasn't planned intentionally once more. It pushes to light the importance of consent and willingness to be 100% open with each other. In this next season, Ladybug is going to struggle through 2 traumas which is Chat Blanc and also what happened to her in this season finale. Her trust may waver and her struggles increase. The solution would be for her to be 100% open and also be willing to give consent too. We see in Oblivio that even in their civilian form they were able to handle the akumatised victim. Their teamwork in any situation improved too as they can work together. In season 5 they'll be facing Hawk Moth almost 24/7 as he has much more power at his disposal than before. This means they'll have to be ready in any situation. It's just that that's going to be difficult when you don't know who your partner is in their civilian form if you need to get to them to make a counterattack. In addition to this, many things in Ladybug and Chat Noir's relationship hasn't been addressed yet too, along with Ladybug's trauma. She may develop trust issues with Chat Noir if it isn't addressed. This can then lead to her opening up to him and her trust in him being reaffirmed. This can then lead to a point in the plot where in order for them to overcome Hawk Moth's attacks and defeat him is by finding out who each other is behind the mask. Ladybug might come to that conclusion or even both might and from there they are both agree to follow through with that plan. They both give consent and are 100% open and from this they reveal their identities. This, like in Oblivio makes them a lot stronger and are now able to coordinate themselves around each other in any situation they may be in. It's kind of like a genuine marriage when I think about it. A genuine marriage where both bride and groom give consent and are 100% open with each. (That's what supposed to happen but sadly that isn't always the case in marriages). In summary, the identity reveal may play a role in them defeating Hawk Moth. It didn't work out in our previous episodes where the reveal took place because it wasn't either the right circumstances for it to occur. They both need to be willing to give consent and be 100% open with each other for it to happen. It has also been seen where when they find out their identities, their teamwork and overall dynamic improves. Their consent and willingness to be open with each other may develop and unfold in the plot in season 5 due to various experiences and dangers they go through. In addition, it may develop by both noting and overcoming various personal struggles that affect their partner relationship. All of this may lead up to them willingly revealing themselves. I just realized that if ladybug were to get ANY of the miraculous, then the Quami would know who Hawkmoth is. Therefore Ladybug will know that Gabriel is Hawkmoth. I'm very scared for season 5. Something else I want to point out… Chat Noir may feel now deeply that ladybug has a lot of trust in Adrien Agreste (in him), as he was really the one she was looking for to give the dog miraculous. Here he was thinking she never needed him, when in reality, when the world was falling apart, she chose Adrien. He got to see a side of her that needed him. (unfortunately turns out to be Felix) That is why I think the ending scene for me is so much more meaningful. Before he questioned his loyalty a bit based on her distancing him, but after coming to the realization that she really entrusted the dog miraculous to Adrien… and how happy she was to have him on the team (when she thought it was Adrien,) he recognizes his value to her without the mask. I think that’s something he learns because of her mistake… and it may cause him to be more of himself around her (both Adrien and Chat)

I started Watching Miraculous just about a month ago after my friend told me it was on Netflix and to give it a shot. I then also watched both of the movies and specials. The emotional rollercoaster that this series put me through is one of the best I've had in my life and after the first 15 episodes there wasn't a single credit role that didn't involve me hitting my desk and yelling "Just let them be happy! AHH" at my screen. It was so draining and yet so rewarding seeing them grow and go through all of their arcs and changes. And then season 4. Oh jeez season 4. There was so much. Too much for my poor brain and heart to handle. TCH has probably been my lifeline tether throughout my entire experience but season 4 would have left me even more wrecked than I am without it, so what remains of my sanity thanks you for that. I cannot wait to see what they do with season 5. I think it would be awesome if they did a build up of a couple episodes showing how the people have been acclimatizing to their new reality and then, as Chat said, one by one (or episode by episode) started gathering them back while also continuing to grow and learn about themselves/each other. Maybe in a way that relates to the miraculous they're fighting/ retrieving? After this season especially, I feel like whatever they decide will be fantastic. I'm excited for the future!

plus it did make sense that Alya renounced her Miraculous because now that was the 2nd time that Hawk Moth discovered she was still active as Rena meaning he, if not written to be oblivious to it, would always speculate that she was still active until there was a new Fox Miraculous holder. About the only way they could have written it differently would have been to have her be the holder of a different Miraculous permanently but I cant think of how that would be rationaled or written for the show or who would even be the one to lose their Miraculous in favor of Rena

I absolutely loved Strikeback! It was a beautiful, intense and emotional episode. The Ladynoir scene at the end really stole my heart, I think it’s my new favorite moment between them. Everything about it was perfect. The rain, the moonlight, their spot, Hawkmoth appearing and trying to scare Ladybug, Cat Noir coming at the right time and having Paris gather around to show their support for Ladybug. The way that you can see Cat Noir visibly angry when looking out at Hawkmoth but then looks and speaks softly “milady” and holds out his hand when he realizes she needs him. The clap of thunder, the calmness. And of course, the hug. Everything was perfect, I could go on forever lol. ❤️

I want to see 3 things in season 5: ALYA VS FELIX: Marinette explains what happened to Alya, and she decides to look into Felix, because he's a direct link to Hawkmoth. Maybe have Alya leave a while for London, then have a whole episode where she investigates him and finds everything out, but he catches her, restrains her, and sends a Sentimonster of her back to Paris !! GABRIEL STAYING SMART: I hope we can all agree that Gabriel handing over a MIraculous per villain of the week for a power boost is stupid. Most villains so far have already had better or the same powers as the Miraculous (Volpina, Evilustrator). It's not about power levels, it's about strategy, and season 4 and Felix proved that. Have him use them himself, in different combos to assist the villains he creates. The only handouts feasible right now would be Volpina and Queen Bee, but letting go of a Miraculous would almost certainly mean losing it. Don't be a coward, Gabe, use them yourself. SU-HAN DOUBLING DOWN ON LADYBUG: Su-Han during the finale: he sees Hawkmoth's announcement, he is furious. He bolts for Marinette's house to get the Box but then he sees: all the people of Paris rallying up for Ladybug. Despite her disastrous failure, he can hardly comprehend how the entire city still trusts her, and eventually realizes he's in the wrong, admitting to himself that he could and should have done more himself, and that Ladybug and Cat Noir are the best chance, the only chance, to beat Hawkmoth.

I think the Ladybugs needed such logical and powerful miracle weapons to oppose and defeat the stormtroopers and aliens armies of Evil Galactic Empire (Star Wars) and their leader - Supreme Leader Shadow Moth. By doing so, rescuing the world from a crisis situation and saving humanity from certain defeat. But Star Wars also had miracle weapons. I have thought and listed these logical and effective miracle weapons for you. 5:37 I mean it's fair tho. Like the fact that she was in hiding was revealed to everyone! Which would make it very very easy for Shadow Moth to use that against her. And Marinette needs emotional support right now more than superhero support. She needs someone who can help her with her problems, listen to her vent and help her balance out her double lives. As far as I see it, Alya will still help her. In fact now more than ever before. Alya can still cover for her, help her balance out her schedule, be her shoulder to cry on....everything. The only thing that's changed is that she can't help her in superhero form. Then again, at that moment, she probably could have. They could have given her another miraculous. But that wouldn't happen because she's suited only for the fox. So yeah, that's my take on it.

@@gergorozgonyi2190 Oh wow you did some extensive research, kudos. But I've thought about it and I don't think a single physical weapon will help them defeat him. That's if he even shows his crippled face and doesn't hide behind his villains. But yeah, he'd be able to destroy a bunch of it just by using magic, a bunch of resources would be wasted. Not to mention, how would they even get such superweapons? I don't exactly know how they'll do it but physical weapons doesn't look like the best solution to me, but that's just my opinion.

I think the reason why the writers had Alya return the miraculous back to ladybug, was because it gives a new start to season 5, going back to just the two of them without the rest of the gang. Next season would probably make ladybug closer to Chat noir and have ladybug realize her feelings for chat

I was wondering if hawkmoth actually forces the kwamis to reveal the identities of ladybug and chat noir. Also, I wonder if ladybug will discover hawkmoth's identity towards the beginning of the season itself. I have seen many people talk about how the episode titles are somehow related to the kwamis. Chat noir also mentioned in the finale that they will be retrieving the miraculouses one by one. My point here is that if ladybug retrieves even one miraculous from hawkmoth, she could easily ask the kwami for hawkmoth's identity. That would be a really cool and new dynamic, if we get to see it next season, that is ladybug fighting hawkmoth knowing that he actually is gabriel. Plus it also opens up endless possibilities, for example, chat noir learning that is father is hawkmoth, maybe using adrien for defeating hawkmoth, and that could even lead to the reveal eventually.

I don't think there's ever been a time she's doubted Adrien, but he feels she doesn't trust Cat. Just an observation I made when watching it

1. The biggest problem I have always had with the series as a whole but also Season 4 specifically is that Mr. Astruc (and to an extent Zag) seem to loathe adhering to a chronology. I had to wait MONTHS for Disney+ to upload "Qilin" so I could figure out when and why Marinette's mom was akumatized for her to be re-akumatized in the "Dearest Family". Which also initially confused me since it wasn't until a couple episodes later, the episode "Gabriel Agreste", where Gabriel/Hawk Moth was given one of Ladybug's "protective charms". Like, "Dearest Family" begins with Hawk Moth breaking through the protective charm that he gets in "Gabriel Agreste"... so when you can literally order them however you want why would you not put "Gabriel Agreste" before "Dearest Family"? And why only reveal "Qilin" literally months after the titular villain had been introduced for the first time ever to the viewers despite this introduction to her being claimed in-universe as her second time being akumatized? It's...no.... 2. The panic/anxiety attack...was too real. 3. I hope that Season 5 has Alya offer support for Marinette even without the Fox miraculous. 3.b. I also hope that Season 5 has...Look, Hawk Moth is going to be engaged in a perpetual state of unleashing akumatized villains. We might even expect multiple people akumatized simultaneously every episode. Season 5 has to be the build-up to the end of the series. Thus we need to have, ideally starting before the midpoint of the season, Ladybug and Cat Noir reveal their identities to each other. At worst, they literally have nothing to lose at this point.
